Demi-Human Queen Boss Tips
Check IconBring long-ranged spells
Check IconUse Spirit Ashes with high quantity summons

Bring long-ranged spells

If you visit Sorceress Sellen first, you'll be able to pick up some solid spells for the early game. Glintsone Pebble or Glintstone Stars will allow you to keep your distance from the Demi-Human Queen so that you don't have to deal with her physical attacks.

Use Spirit Ashes with high quantity summons

Try using Spirit Ashes that summons spirits in a group, as this will increase the time the boss is distracted. Spirits such as the Lone Wolf Ashes are ideal because of their ability to avoid attacks due to their mobility and small hitbox.

Alternatively, you can also summon the Wandering Noble Ashes. They have less mobility than the wolves but are still a decent choice due to their numbers.

Melee Strategy

Demi-Human Queen Boss Tips
Check IconDon't rely on blocking against phsyical attacks
Check IconDodge towards the boss to counterattack
Check IconSummon high damaging spirits

Don't rely on blocking against phsyical attacks

The Demi-Human Queen's physical attacks like Staff Smash and Ground Pound are likely too strong for your shield (unless you've managed to come by one that blocks 100% physical damage, like the Crest Heater Shield), so it's best to avoid these attacks entirely, either by roll-dodging, or by staying on your horse and dashing away.

Dodge towards the boss to counterattack

It's advisable to dodge towards the Demi-Human Queen on some of her attacks, as this will give you a lot of time to retaliate with your own. The Demi-Human Queen takes a while in between attacks, so try rolling between her feet when she smashes her staff or fists, then follow up by striking her back.

If you aren't comfortable doing this the first time, you can always try dodging away at the start, so you can get used to the timing before attempting to do so.

Clear the area of enemies first

When you enter the ruins, the Demi-Human Queen's minions will start rushing you. While they'll submit if you defeat the queen first, it makes the battle much more difficult when you're dealing with multiple foes.

Instead, walk through the doorway where the enemies are located, then head back out and the minions will follow. They're faster than the queen, so you'll be able to pick off a few by the time she catches up. If you've summoned an Ash like Lone Wolf Ashes, the wolves can help even the battle.

Demi-Human Queen Attack Patterns

Staff Smash

The Demi-Human Queen will smash her staff on the ground, knocking you back if you get caught under it. Roll away or mount your horse with good timing to avoid taking any damage.

Ground Pound

A physical attack where the Demi-Human Queen pounds the ground with her left fist. Roll away or mount your horse with good timing to avoid taking any damage.

Double Fist Ground Pound

Similar to the Ground Pound, the Demi-Human Queen will smash the ground with both fists together in front of her. As with her other physical attacks, Double Fist Ground Pound is easily avoided by rolling or mounting your horse with good timing.

Crystal Burst

The Demi-Human Queen sends an explosion of crystals from her staff. Crystal Burst has a fairly short range, so it's unlikely to reach you in most cases, as long as you use your horse to keep your distance. Also, use the wall ruins to your advantage. If you need to recover HP or stamina, make sure there's a wall keeping you out of Demi-Human Queen's direct line of sight.

Glintstone Pebble

A single crystal is fired from the Demi-Human Queen's staff, honing in on you. Keep moving, and perform a dodge roll at the last moment if the Glintstone Pebble seems like it's going to hit you. You can also use the wall ruins just like with Crystal Burst to block incoming spells.
