How to Use Varre's Bouquet

Scales with Dexterity, Arcane, and Strength

Varre's Bouquet scales primarily with Dexterity and Arcane. Its main stat with the most stat scaling bonus is Dexterity and the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom can further increase the damage of your attacks by raising this stat.

Adding points to Arcane will improve the weapon's passive buildup and strength of its weapon skill. It is capable of applying the Hemorrhage status effect and leeching HP off of enemies with the weapon skill.

Has a Passive Blood Loss Buildup

This weapon's physical attacks cause blood loss to build up and filling up the meter will inflict Hemorrhage to an enemy dealing damage that is relative to their HP. It has a decent buildup rate and since the weapon scales with Arcane, can be improved by leveling up this attribute.

Varre's Bouquet is the lowest damage-dealing hammer in the game but since it can cause bleed, the talisman Lord of Blood's Exultation and headwear White Mask are good supplementary equipment that will increase the damage of your physical attacks when the status effect is applied.

Can be Buffed with an Incantation

The weapon can be buffed with the incantation, Bloodflame Blade. While active it inflicts the bloodflame effect that causes bleed to stack over a very short period after hitting an enemy. The buff lasts 60 seconds and will boost your incant scaling by two times.

Lifesteal Weapon Skill

This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and has the weapon skill Blood Tax by default. The skill performs a spinning maneuver before unleashing thrusting attacks that drain blood and HP from enemies with every hit. This weapon skill applies the status effect much faster than physical attacks and it can stun-lock enemies with low Poise.

However, it is ineffective against enemies with shields or high Poise since they can counterattack and interrupt you out of the attack. Varre's Bouquet is a good weapon for lifesteal or bleed builds that can be paired with the Serpent-God's Curved Sword
