Description
Ritual spear used by priests of old who were permitted to come among the deathbirds. The priests became guardians of the birds through the rite of Death, which also serves as an oath sworn to their distant resurrection.

How to Use the Death Ritual Spear

Scales with Dexterity, Strength, and Intelligence

The Death Ritual Spear has a B scaling in Dexterity and a D scaling in Strength and Intelligence at +10. The Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom can further increase the damage of your attacks by raising this stat.

The Magic damage of the weapon scales with the Intelligence attribute and can be increased with the Stargazer Heirloom which raises your Intelligence by +5.

Magic Damage Weapon

This weapon's attacks also deal Magic damage making it a good option against enemies or bosses with low Magic resistance. It has the default moveset for spears with fast thrusting normal attacks that can stun-lock weaker targets. Pair it with the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia to enhance the damage of your successive attacks.

The Death Ritual Spear has a shares the same strong attack animation with the Partisan and Spiked Spear. It performs wide slashes instead of the default thrust attacks.

Weapon Skill Deals AoE Damage from Range

This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and is equipped with the Spearcall Ritual Weapon weapon skill by default. When activated it summons spectral spears that fall from the sky in a wide area. It has a long range and can deal great damage to multiple enemies within its radius.

Keep in mind that the skill takes a bit of time to cast and will leave you open to attacks. It is also a bit challenging to use against agile and aggressive enemies since they can easily avoid the attack.
