This skill was buffed in Ver 1.04, decreasing FP cost and recovery time. Madness buildup on self has also been decreased.

How to Use Frenzyflame Thrust

Great AoE

Aside from having an explosion effect as the spear hits the ground, the explosion will scatter flames in three different directions in front of the user. These flames stay on the ground for a while, causing continuous damage and madness to enemies.

Overall it's a great skill to have not only during PvE but also on PvP.

Increases Player's Madness Guage

The only drawback to using this skill is it will also cause your madness guage to build up. But with increased Focus you can slow down its progression. Equipping the Clarifying Horn Charm +1 will improve your Focus significantly, letting you use this skill a couple more times before being inflicted Madness.

Unique to the Vyke's War Spear

You can only use this skill with Vyke's War Spear. To obtain this you will need to defeat Festering Finger Vyke near the Church of Ambitions at Liurnia of the Lakes region. Festering Finger Vyke is an invader that will appear as you near the Church of Ambitions.
