How to Use Flamberge

Scales with Strength and Dexterity

The Flamberge scales equally with Strength and Dexterity but has the highest scaling grade with Dexterity once the weapon is upgraded. Leveling up the Dexterity stat will have the most stat scaling bonus to physical attack gain. Changing the weapon's affinity by using Whetblades will improve the default scaling of the weapon to better scale with your stats.

All Whetblades Locations

Has a Passive Blood Loss Buildup

This weapon has a good amount of blood loss buildup with high damaging physical attacks. The weapon's passive is strong against most enemies, especially against enemies that use shields and can take enough hits for the status effect to be applied. Pairing it with the talisman Lord of Blood's Exultation will increase your attack power by 20% when blood loss is applied to you or enemies in the vicinity.

Infusable with Ashes of War

This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War and is equipped with Stamp (Upward Cut) as its default weapon skill. When activated it places the user in a readied stance and can be followed up with a strong upward slash that can launch enemies upward.

Since the weapon has a blood loss buildup, the following Ashes of War can improve and complement the passive: Seppuku further improving its blood loss buildup to maximize the weapon’s ability to apply Hemorrhage status effect to enemies, Chilling Mist inflict frost buildup when using Cold affinity to cause Frostbite status effect and increase the damage taken by enemies, and Poisonous Mist to inflict poison buildup when using Poison affinity to cause Poison status effect.
