How to Use Spiked Spear

Scales with Strength and Dexterity

The Spiked Spear scales with Strength and has the highest stat scaling bonus with this attribute. Equipping the Starscourge Heirloom talisman can further increase the damage dealt by this weapon.

You can get even more bonus damage from the weapon's default scaling by applying a Heavy affinity with the Iron Whetblade.

Has a Passive Blood Loss Buildup

This weapon's physical attacks cause blood loss to build up and filling up the meter will inflict Hemorrhage to an enemy dealing damage that is relative to their HP. It has a very good buildup rate that can be improved by applying a blood affinity with a Black Whetblade. It has the standard move set for spears with a unique strong attack animation that performs a slashing attack instead of a strong piercing thrust.

The Lord of Blood's Exultation talisman will increase the damage of your attacks when Bleed is applied in the vicinity. Ashes of War such as Chilling Mist, or Poisonous Mist are recommended as additional damage sources that can complement the weapon's passive ability.

Infusable with Ashes of War

This weapon is infusable with Ashes of War Skills and is equipped with Charge Forth weapon skill by default. It allows the user to charge forward with the spear and carries the momentum to perform a powerful thrust attack. Holding the skill button will allow you to travel a much greater distance.

You can damage enemies while charging forward and the thrusting attack is capable of sending enemies flying forward. It can be used to break guards if you can connect with the running charge and thrust attack.
