How to Use Rotten Crystal Spear

Scales with Dexterity, Intelligence, and Faith

The Rotten Crystal Spear mainly scales with Dexterity and has the most stat scaling bonus than Strength. The damage of your attack can be further increased with the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom by raising your Dexterity.

The weapon also deals additional Magic damage and it directly scales with your Intelligence. The Stargazer Heirloom can increase your damage by raising this stat.

List of All Talismans

Has a Passive Scarlet Rot Buildup

The weapon's physical attacks cause the buildup of Scarlet Rot. The effects of this status effect are similar to Poison as it does damage over time based on the enemy's HP. Unlike Poison, Scarlet Rot deals more damage and has a shorter duration.

The Kindred of Rot's Exultation talisman can increase the damage of your physical attacks when Scarlet Rot is inflicted in the vicinity.

Weapon Skill can Break Guard

This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War Skills and is equipped with Charge Forth weapon skill by default. It allows the user to charge forward with the spear and carries the momentum to perform a powerful thrust attack. Holding the skill button will allow you to travel a much greater distance.

You can damage enemies while charging forward and the thrusting attack is capable of sending enemies flying forward. It can be used to break guards if you can connect with the running charge and thrust attack.
