How to Use Alabaster Lord’s Sword

Scales with Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity

Lord Alabaster’s sword scales with Intelligence, Dexterity, and mostly Strength which makes it an ideal weapon for players who have invested in these attributes. The highest attribute scaling of this weapon is Strength, therefore increasing this stat will greatly increase the damage dealt by physical attacks. Improving your Intelligence attribute will increase the magic damage dealt by the weapon.

Good for dealing magic damage

This weapon's physical attacks deal additional Magic damage making it a particularly good weapon against enemies and bosses that are weak to Magic. Since the weapon scales with Intelligence, you can increase your Magic damage output with the Stargazer Heirloom talisman that raises the stat.

Weapon Skill is Good for Clearing Enemies

This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and has Alabaster Lord’s Pull as its default weapon skill. It plunges the sword to the ground damaging surrounding enemies and pulls them closer to the user with a gravitational pull dealing additional damage. The weapon skill is effective at dealing with groups and deals a good amount of damage while being able to pull surviving enemies to you for follow-up attacks.

It is similar to Gravitas but takes longer to cast and the gravitational pull has a larger effective range. Be careful when using the skill and make sure you are at a safe distance since you can be easily interrupted out of it. It is ineffective against shields and cannot stagger enemies with their shields up when you pull them in, making you vulnerable to attacks. The plunging attack of the skill will also bounce off greatshields and will cancel the animation.

Weapon Skill Damage Scales with Intelligence

The weapon skill scales with the Intelligence attribute and adding points to this stat will improve the damage dealt by the skill. If you are set on using this weapon exclusively for its weapon skill, then heavily investing in Intelligence is the way to go but keep in mind that the weapon's physical may become weaker as a result.
