Spirits of greatshield soldiers who belonged to the Fallen Hawks, a band of soldiers that once explored the Eternal City, Stouts defenders with a steady guard. Though their methods are somewhat crude, they work well as a squadron, and will attract the attention of enemies or lob ghostflame from the rearguard.

Greatshield Soldier Ashes can be obtained by pillaging a corpse in a gravesite in Nokron, Eternal City. You can get there by travelling to Nokron, Eternal City Site of Grace.

After heading down the stairs, go directly to the east and you should be able to see a gravesite to the right. The ashes should be in one of the corpses you can pillage inside it.

Summoning Spirit Ashes during Boss fights can help take the pressure off players. Equip the ash in your inventory and use it as soon as the white gate symbol appears above your item slots. Players need the Spirit Calling bell from Ranni to unlock the use of Spirit Ash Summons.
