From Eastern Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace, head between the two sheer cliffs and turn south. The entrance to Carian Study Hall belongs to the massive white tower.

Gain Access to Divine Tower of Liurnia

The entrance to the Divine Tower of Liurnia is hidden in the lift, accessible only after placing the Carian Inverted Statue on the desk. In order to get to the Carian Inverted Statue, you must have beaten Royal Knight Loretta to gain access to Ranni's Rise and progressed Ranni's quest by giving the Fingerslayer Blade to Ranni. In exchange, she will give you Carian Inverted Statue, which you need to place on the altar inside Carian Study Hall. This will then give you access to the Divine Tower of Liurnia.

Defeat Preceptor Miriam

Entering the Carian Study Hall will have you engage the hostile NPC, Preceptor Miriam defeating her would reward you the Magic Downpour spell.

After using the Carian Inverted Statue to invert the study hall, Preceptor Miriam will attack you once again and this time defeating her will reward you with the Lucidity spell.
