How to Use Veteran's Prosthesis

Scales with Strength and Dexterity

The Veteran's Prosthesis has both Strength and Dexterity scaling but it has the highest scaling bonus with Strength. It is a good weapon for players with high Strength and Lightning damage builds.

Since this is a Strength-based weapon, the talisman Starscourge Heirloom can further increase the damage dealt by your physical attacks by raising your Strength attribute.

Lightning Damage Weapon

The weapon's physical attacks deal additional Lightning damage and can be used effectively against enemies and bosses with low Lightning resistance. Most notably, Dragons and enemies that are heavily armored.

If you are looking to improve the lightning damage capabilities of Veteran's Prosthesis, equipping the Lightning Scorpion Charm talisman will increase its damage output but will lower your damage negation.

Weapon Skill is Good for Dealing Lightning Damage

This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and has the weapon skill Storm Kick by default. When activated, creates a small storm around the user by thrusting the weapon to the ground. It can be followed up with a strong attack input to perform a jumping attack.

The skill takes a bit of time to cast but the storm does good Poise damage to unshielded enemies and will stagger them giving you enough time to do the follow-up attack. The jumping attack can easily break an enemy's Poise and deals high Lightning damage. Pairing this skill with the Claw Talisman that enhances jumping attacks can increase its damage output.
