Should You Use Empowered Combo Gems?

Equip to Your Active Character

Empowered Combo allows you to deal extra damage when canceling, ideal for Attacker classes. However this can only be taken advantage of when you are controlling the characters since AI controlled-character will not cancel their attacks while battling. While Empowered Combo is a great Gem to Equip to the character you are controlling, make sure to change out the Gems when changing your active character.
