War Medic is a type of Healer class in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and is the default class of Valdi. Read on to learn more about the class, including its best arts, skills, characters, accessories, and gems, as well as find out how to unlock the class.

Class Rating is the speed at which each character ranks up an individual class, so the lower their Class Rating, the slower it takes for them to rank up the class.
War Medic is the default class of Valdi, a hero in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. To unlock this class and equip it to your main characters, you must first complete their Hero Quest: The Kind Right Hand.

After you unlock this class, it will have a rank cap of 10, so you are unable to upgrade its Arts and skills further than that rank. To break the rank cap and extend the limit up to Rank 20, you must first complete the quest I'm a Mechanic.

Eunie and Taion are recommended War Medics due to their high Healing Power stats. Though Lanz has a high Class Rating, he is less recommended for this class due to his low Healing Power stat.

The best Arts for War Medics are those that can be used to support the rest of the team. Cure Bullet is an excellent Art because it clears all debuffs and protects your party from additional debuffs.
Multi Blast is the preferred Healing Art for War Medics because it can also be used as an offensive Art, one of the few that the class has.

War Medics do not have many offensive arts at their disposal, so it is important to supplement their Art sets with powerful offensive Master Arts. However, it is best that these arts also inflict decent buffs or debuffs so they can provide additional support for the team.
Since most of the buffs inflicted by War Medics have limited range, using Resonant Flag to share these buffs with all allies is recommended.

Though War Medic already has an excellent Talent Art, it you plan on replacing it with a different Rank 20 Master Art, we recommend Soulfire for improved Healing and the Attack Down debuff.

Like most Healers, War Medics have Arts that have high aggro, which makes them a target for many enemies, so it best to reduce their aggro as much as possible. Ethereal Ability is also useful since many of their Arts are Ether Attacks.

Once you are able to rank up some of your classes to 20, some of your Master Skills can be replaced with these extremely useful Rank 15 skills. In particular, Abundant Oceans is an great skill, but it is only unlocked in the post game.

As mentioned previously, Healing Arts tend to have high aggro values, so accessories that reduce it are ideal for Healers. The rest of your team can also benefit from accessories that boost the amount of HP healed by their Arts.
Since War Medics are mostly long-ranged combatants, increasing their range to keep them away from harm is best.

Because War Medics not only specialize in healing, but also other buff and debuff inflicting Arts, it is recommended to use gems that can increase the effectiveness of their Arts overall.
