Characters | Recommended Classes | ||
---|---|---|---|
Noah | Swordfighter | Zephyr | Ogre |
・It's recommended that you level classes with high compatibility first. ・Ogre unlocks arts and skills to greatly increase Noah's attack power. |
|||
Mio | Zephyr | Swordfighter | Ogre |
・Try to focus on leveling classes with high compatibility first. ・Ogre's skill will help Mio boost her damage. |
|||
Eunie | Medic Gunner | Tactician | Heavy Guard |
・Her high HP recovery makes her ideal for Healer Classes. ・Unlocking Heavy Guard's skill allows her to increase her physical defense. |
|||
Taion | Tactician | Medic Gunner | Heavy Guard |
・Focus on raising the ranks of classes with high compatibility first. ・Unlocking Heavy Guard's skill allows him to increase his physical defense. |
|||
Lanz | Heavy Guard | Ogre | Swordfighter |
・High HP makes him a good choice for tanks. ・Ogre and Swordfighter provide arts and skills that strengthen his attack power. |
|||
Sena | Ogre | Swordfighter | Heavy Guard |
・Like Noah, she makes for a good attacker. ・Try to get and raise her Swordfighter to get arts needed for future combos. |
Early in the game, once you've unlocked how to change classes, you want to raise the rank of classes with high compatibility rating for each character. This will allow you to quickly secure master arts and skills early in the game.
Characters | Recommended Classes | ||
---|---|---|---|
Noah | Incursor | Flash Fencer | Guardian Commander |
・Raise the ranks of Attacker Classes to get more offensive arts. ・Raise Guardian Commander class to get the Shield Bash for a topple combo. |
|||
Mio | War Medic | Lone Exile | Full Metal Jaguar |
・Unlock War Medic's arts and skills for future combos. ・Mio's high agility stat makes her ideal for Lone Exile. |
|||
Eunie | Lone Exile | War Medic | Full Metal Jaguar |
・Inherits Full Metal Jaguar, making it faster for her to rank it up. ・Lone Exile is also easy to rank up. ・If you need more healing to sustain your party, use War Medic for the increased HP recovery. |
|||
Taion | Guardian Commander | Full Metal Jaguar | Incursor |
・Try to unlock classes with high compatibility to get as much Master Arts as possible for future chain Attacks. | |||
Lanz | Guardian Commander | Lone Exile | War Medic |
・Use Guardian Commander to take advantage of Lanz's high HP stat.
・Since Lanz inherits War Medic, it'll be easier for him to rank it up. |
|||
Sena | Incursor | Thaumaturge | Flash Fencer |
・Raise the rank of Attacker Classes and take advantage of their high attack power. ・You want to get Thaumaturge's Ultimate Qigong skill. This allows one to ignore 40% of the enemy's physical defense. |
Once you hit mid-game, you'll start to have a good number of Master Arts in your arsenal, so be sure to equip arts with combos in mind. By connecting combos, the enemy will be unable to move, allowing you to attack more often and increase your survivability during encounters.
An example of a combo is setting your class to Incursor and using Glitter Stream as your art. Then using Guardian Commander's Shield Bash for Master Arts, you'll be to create a one-man combo from Break to Topple.
Characters | Recommended Classes | ||
---|---|---|---|
Noah | Incursor | Flash Fencer | Lone Exile |
・Attacker classes are best as Noah's Lucky Seven talent art post-Chapter 6 works best when equipped to a damage-dealing class. ・Use Incursor for quick-charging, high-damage Combat Arts and Flash Fencer for an easy Draw Lucky Seven at the start of fights. ・Defenders are also great for Noah due to the Reactivation mechanic synergizing with his high TP. |
|||
Mio | Zephyr | Signifer | Medic Gunner |
・Dominion Flower works well with Zephyr since it is easy to perform Role actions with this class. ・Zephyr is also easy to raise to Rank 20 since Mio's Ascension Quest is part of the Main Story. ・Healer roles work well especially when paired with Noah in an Attacker role. |
|||
Eunie | Signifer | War Medic | Medic Gunner |
・Has high survivability, making Eunie suitable as a late game Healer. ・Out of the three, Medic Gunner is her best class, especially when ascended to Rank 20 after completing her Side Story. |
|||
Taion | Lone Exile | Lost Vanguard | Incursor |
・Taion's high TP makes him suitable for either Defender classes (for Reactivation) or Attacker classes (for better Chain Order ratings). ・Lost Vanguard has a TP-boosting Skill called Now That's Tactics! that is useful to master for Taion. ・Incursor is his best Attacker class due to its high crit damage and quick-recharge Combat Arts. |
|||
Lanz | Heavy Guard | Medic Gunner | War Medic |
・Great as a Defender during fights due to his naturally high HP pool. ・Works well as a Healer for Chain Attacks, especially when used to cap out the meter at 99%. |
|||
Sena | Signifer | Machine Assassin | Flash Fencer |
・Great for playing the buff or debuff support role offered by the Signifer and Machine Assassin classes. ・Sena has high Attack Power, making her suitable as a secondary Attacker in a pinch. |
Since your characters cap out at Level 99, Healers will be very useful during late game, especially when facing off against Level 100+ Monsters. Out of all the available classes, the Medic Gunner is the best Healer and support class at Rank 20.
Equipped with low-cooldown Heals, Attack Up AOE buffs, and skills that help shave off aggro, this maxed out early-game class will be your go-to support class for the more difficult sections of the game.

|||
Swordfighter | Single Target Attacker | Noah | Sena |
・Deals massive damage against a single target. ・Ascension Quest can be unlocked easily through the Main Story. |
Class | Type | Default Character | Recommended Character |
---|---|---|---|
Lost Vanguard | Main Defender | Monica | Lanz |
・Can consistently take the aggro of enemies. ・Capable of healing self. |
|||
Lone Exile | Damage Defender | Ashera | Mio |
・Great damage output as a defender ・Performs well as a support defender. |
Class | Type | Default Character | Recommended Character |
---|---|---|---|
Lifesage | Main Healer | Nia | Mio |
・Provides the party with high HP recovery. ・Very consistent in healing the party. ・Capable of reducing damage taken for the whole party. |
|||
Signifer | Buff Focused | Fiona | Taion |
・Raises the damage output of the party using buffs. ・Provides the party with good heals. |
|||
War Medic | Pure Heal | Valdi | Eunie |
・Provides arts with high HP recovery. Can remove debuffs inflicted by enemies. |
It's recommended to prioritize ranking classes based on the role you previously set for your character. This will make it easier to have their master arts and skills synergize with each other.
If you appointed your character to be a healer, for example, then focus on getting a healer class for that character to secure master arts with healing properties.
All Party Members and Starting Classes
Another factor to consider would be mastering classes that grants master skills that can synergize with your chosen role. Skills like the Thaumaturge's Ultimate Qigong will allow physical arts attackers to hit harder and some classes like healers that prioritize debuffs may benefit from the Yumsmith's Sappy-Sappy Drain!
Prioritize mastering classes that have a high compatibility rating for your character. This will allow you to level it faster, unlocking master arts and skills for when you change into another class.
How do you figure medic gunner is a strong late game class? Eunie’s ouroboros form gains insane attack power from party members buffs. The signifer class is her best class by far. Machine assassin shouldn’t be used at all, especially late game. De buffs never work. Ogre is Sena’s best class it’s a breaker. Lots of info here that doesn’t make any sense..
