Class Rating is the speed at which each character ranks up an individual class, so the lower their Class Rating, the slower it takes for them to rank up the class.
Full Metal Jaguar is the default class of Gray, a hero in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. To unlock this class and equip it to your main characters, you must first complete their Hero Quest: A Gray Matter.
After you unlock this class, it will have a rank cap of 10, so you are unable to upgrade its Arts and skills further than that rank. To break the rank cap and extend the limit up to Rank 20, you must first complete the quest Payback for Treason.

Full Metal Jaguar is an Attacker class that relies on high Attack and Dexterity stats to make it compatible with the Arts and Skills available. Noah evidently excels at these aspects, but so does Taion, making them both ideal Full Metal Jaguar characters.
Additionally, they both have decent Class Ratings, so they can rank up this class quicker than most.
Art | Attack Type | AoE | Base Effect |
---|---|---|---|

Ether Attack | Frontward AOE | 30% change to ignore defense. |

Buff | Self | Fully removes own aggro. |
![]() |
Ether Attack | One Target | Evades attacks. Also boosts damage when attacking from the front by 50%. |
It is best to select three Positional Arts in for both Combat and Master Arts to make the most of the Class Skill. In this case, we recommend using Quickdraw for the evasion boost and damage bonus.
Dead Set is an important Art for the class since it increases their Accuracy, which they need to keep up their damage accumulation. As a bonus, the Art also fully removes all their aggro.

For Master Arts, again it is best to equip a Positional Art to make the most of the Class Skill. In particular, we recommend two Flamelord and Glitter Stream since they synergize well with the rest of the Arts in the palette.
Overfall is also highly recommended since many of the Arts in this class are Ether Attacks. It also helps out your other squad mates who inflict Ether damage.

Though it is best to keep the default Talent Art of this class, Refreshing Rain makes a decent alternative Talent Art, and is best used to deliver the final blow to a low HP enemy.

Rank 5 |
Ethereal Ability is the most recommended Master Skill for this class since most of its Arts are Ether Attacks. Now That's Tactics works well with Attacker classes since it increases their potential TP bonus when attacking first in a Chain Attack.

Each successful attack boosts Critical Rate by 1% of inital value (up to a maximum of 100%). |
Rank 15 |
Once you are able to equip a few Master Skills, we recommend replacing a few of the skills above with Rank 15 skills. However, it is best to keep Ethereal Ability as it is the best skill for the class.
Increased Dexterity | Increased Attack | Reduced Aggro from Auto-Attacks |

Since Full Metal Jaguars benefit from both high Attack and Dexterity, it is recommended to increase both stats with accessories. Accessories geared towards Auto Attacks also work well, like a Silver Necklace or even an Attack Stone.
Increased Dexterity | Reduced Aggro from Arts | Shortened Auto-Attack Interval |

Gems that increase Dexterity work best for Full Metal Jaguars, while Disperse Bloodlust also works well to keep your aggro level down. Shortened Auto-Attack intervals are useful to deal damage quicker.
