Interlink Levels are a powered-up state of the Ouroboros form that gives you combat bonuses in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Read on to learn more about Interlink Levels including how to raise it and what bonuses it gives.
In order to increase your Interlink Level, you will need to constantly use Fusion Arts during battle. Unlike Chain Attacks that rely on Art Cancelling, Interlink Levels rely solely on your Fusion Art use.
During battle, wait for your Mastered Arts to fully charge up. Then, once both your Primary and Mastered Arts are ready, hold down zR and press either X, Y, or B to unleash your Fusion Arts.
How to Use Fusion Arts | Best Fusion Arts
To maximize the number of Fusion Arts available to you in combat, make sure to reach Level 40 for all your characters. This will unlock the final Mastered Art slot for you to use, allowing you to equip a total of 3 Mastered Arts.
EXP Farming Guide: How to Level Up Fast
If you want to help your allies build their own Interlink Levels, switch up your team tactics during battle to prioritize Fusion First. To do this, hold down zL while in battle then press the Right D-Pad button to switch team tactics.
Ouroboros Combat Tips |
---|
|
Whenever any of your characters transform into their Ouroboros forms, certain role effects will trigger depending on the class of the character that initiated the interlink. Higher Interlink Levels at the time of transformation will result in stronger Role Effects being unleashed.
Class Type | Role Effect |
---|---|
Defender | Increases own aggro value. |
Attacker | Deals damage to all enemies. |
Healer | Restores HP to entire party. |
Make the most out of your Ouroboros forms by raising your Interlink Level before transformation and making these Role Effects more potent for it.
Ouroboros Guide: All Forms and How to Interlink
Some Ouroboros Arts will only unleash their best effects if you transform at Interlink Level 3. For example, Noah's Rolling Smash Art will only inflict Smash on all enemies if you are at Interlink Level 3. If you need some of the powered up versions of these Arts, make sure to wait until you hit Interlink Level 3 before transforming.
Higher Interlink Levels also have the added benefit of charging your Ouroboros Talent Arts, faster. If you want to repeatedly use high damage Talent Arts like Mega-Spinning Edge or Hammer Revolution, make sure to transform only after you reach Interlink Level 3.
Finally, achieving an Interlink Level 3 will allow you to instantly use an Ouroboros Chain Attack without having to go through the normal Chain Attack process.
To do this, make sure you have a full Chain Attack gauge and an Interlink Level of 3. Once those are ready, simply press the + button to trigger the Chain Attack and select the Ouroboros Chain order to unleash a powerful combo.
