Nopon Archsage Lore and Location
Creator of the Land of Challenge
The Nopon Archsage is a DLC character that is in charge of handling Challenge Battles that can be found in the Land of Challenge. He first appeared in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 with the duty to strengthen and train those that come across his domain.

Just like the Nopon Archsage, the Land of Challenge originated from the DLC Expansion Pass of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. During the Quest cutscene upon arrival to the Land of Challenge, the Archsage referred to the land as something he created especially for friends, which can be a nod to the characters of the previous game.

Alongside the Nopon Archsage are his trusted allies, both of which are named Red.
Aide Red is in charge of handling the Class Mastery Shop, where players can raise characters' class-acquisition levels, while Page Red is in charge of the Prize X-change Shop where rare items are sold in exchange for Noponstones.

Purchase the DLC Expansion Pass
Challenge Battle mode as well as the Land of Challenge is unlocked after purchasing the DLC Expansion Pass (Wave 2) of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Alongside the newly unlocked battle mode is a recruitable Hero named Ino as well as unlockable swimsuit outfits.

Receive Contents from Expansion Pack Menu
After purchasing and downloading the DLC Expansion Pass, open the menu by pressing the X Button, heading to Expansion Pass, selecting Vol. 2, then press the Y Button to receive its contents.

This area is accessible partway through Chapter 3!
