Ino is a new unlockable Hero from Wave 2 of the DLC Expansion Pass of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Read on to learn about Ino's stats, Arts, skills, chain attack bonuses, and her unique ability called Inoswap, as well as how to unlock Ino's Hero Quest and Ascension Quest!

How to Unlock Ino
Complete Her Hero Quest After Getting the Expansion Pass
Ino is a new Hero added in Wave 2 of the DLC Expansion Pass of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Just like other Heroes, you'll first need to complete her Hero Quest before unlocking her as a Hero.
After downloading the DLC and updating the software, you can start her Hero Quest by opening up the in-game menu, selecting Expansion Pass, and choosing Vol. 2. Receive the DLC contents by pressing Y and select Champion of the Nopon to start the quest.

Ino Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
Ino has incrediblly high agility even compared to other high-agility characters like Mio. This makes her a great defender that focuses mainly of evading attacks. However, when she does get hit, her decent HP and defensive stats allow her to take some damage before going down.
Weaknesses
Many of Ino's Arts and Skills require her to become incapacitated before they activate. If you wish to use some of these skills, you'll need a few Healers on your team that can quickly help her up when she's down.
Unlike other Heroes, Ino does not start out with already boosted Art and Skill effects. Instead, you will need to use her unique Inoswap ability, which relies of HD Ether Cylinders+, to enhance their effects. If you want her to reach her full potential, you will need to spend some time and effort to upgrade her.
How to Use the Inoswap Ability
Use Ether Cylinders to Enhance Arts and Skills
Inoswap is a unique ability that can only be used by Ino. Unlike other Heroes, Ino does not start off with boosted Art and Skill effects, instead you need to upgrade them with Inoswap. These upgrades will cost a varying amount of HD Ether Cylinders+.
Unlock More Upgrades by Completing Ino's Ascension Quest
Half of the upgrades for Ino will remain locked until you complete her Ascension Quest. This means that there is a cap for how strong Ino can get until this quest is completed.

Ino benefits greatly from increasing her evasion since evading is her primary way of defending the team, and it also activates many of her skills. Arts that increase both her aggro and evasion work well for her while Starry Beat allows her to help out in team combos with Break.

Who is Ino?
Artificial Blade Made by a Great Nopon
According to the official Japanese Twitter of Xenoblade Chronicles, Ino claims to be an Artificial Blade, which are weaponized lifeforms that were pravelent during the events of Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Additionally, it is said that she was made by a so-called Great Nopon, which can potentially be a nod to Tora of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the creator of the Artificial Blade, Poppi.
