One of the best and easiest ways to rack up EXP is by completing the many Side Quests available in the game. Search for Standard Quests and Hero Quests while you progress the main story in order to get additional EXP.
On top of the leveling benefits, quests also reward you with SP and Gold, making it a very efficient method of strengthening your character as you explore Aionios.

While exploring the world, you will frequently stumble upon different locations and landmarks that grant you Bonus EXP (and sometimes even SP) on arrival. Make sure to keep exploring and discovering these places to build up your Bonus EXP, which you can then spend at Rest Stops later on for instant leveling.
Since EXP gains scale according to your level, areas that are populated by monsters with higher levels than your party will usually net you a lot of bonus EXP. Explore and discover landmarks in these areas for both the EXP and the map reveal (making fast travel easier, later on).
Chain Attack Overkills will net you a ton of EXP when you execute them with Bravo or Amazing ratings. Make sure you take advantage of this feature by farming Elite and Unique Monsters as their high HP pools are usually perfect for setting up Chain Attacks and exploiting the Overkill mechanic's bonus EXP.
Unlike Elite Monsters which you have to seek out, Unique Monsters have the advantage of being repeatable via their Named Graves. To cut down on exploration time and secure EXP fast, farm a Unique Monster grave close to your current party level and reap the easy EXP it gives you.
1 | Find a Unique Monster close to or at your level. |
---|---|
2 | Fight it and build up your Chain Attack Gauge by doing any of the following actions in combat: ・Cancel Attacks into Arts ・Perform Combos ・Perform Role Actions |
3 | Once the Gauge is full, wait until the monster's HP bar is low. When it dips below 20% HP, unleash your Chain Attack. |
4 | Proc the Overkill and aim for Bravo or Amazing ratings until the very end. You can also build towards an Ouroboros Chain Order if you have it unlocked. |
5 | Once the Chain Attack is done, claim your EXP, Gold, and Collectible rewards from the Unique Monster. |
6 | Repeat steps 2 to 5 until you reach your desired level. |
Meal | Effects & How to Get |
---|---|
Redfish Grillwrap | Effect: 20% EXP Boost Duration: 28 minutes Can be purchased at the Lambda Canteen after you complete the quest, Lambda's Problems. |
Squishy-Fishy Grillwrap | Effects: ・15% EXP Boost ・5% Collectible Boost Duration: 51 minutes Unlocked after eating Redfish Grillwrap. Once Manana learns the recipe, this meal can be cooked at Rest Spots. |
Certain Meals in the game will grant you an EXP boost for a limited duration of time. When planning to farm EXP, maximize your gains by eating an EXP Boosting meal, beforehand.

Once you finish Chapter 3, Colony Lambda will become available to explore in the Pentelas Region. Investigate the colony until you gather enough information to discuss and acquire the quest, Lambda's Problems. Upon completion, the Canteen will be restored, allowing you access to your very first, EXP Boosting Meal.
Enemy level differences play a huge part in determining the amount of EXP you get per kill. When farming EXP, make sure to do so in areas where enemies still have their level indicators highlighted. If the indicators are gray, it means that the enemies in the area are too weak, only offering you reduced EXP per kill.
For players who simply want an easier time farming EXP, you can momentarily set your game to Easy difficulty by navigating to System > Game > Difficulty. EXP rewards are unaffected by difficulty, so take advantage of this feature if farming at Normal or Hard proves too tedious or time-consuming.
