How to Get Shards
Found Everywhere Throughout Aionios
You can encounter Origin Shards by simply exploring the world of Aionios. They can be seen glowing on the ground and are usually found in hard-to-reach areas.

Defeat Unique Monsters
The best way to farm for Origin Shards is by fighting all the Unique Monsters you encounter while exploring. Occasionally, they will drop Origin Shards for you to use, so be sure to keep an eye out for them and fight them if you can.
How to Use Shards
Upgrade Weapons
Odd Shards are used to upgrade the party's blade. There are different types of shards, and they are all used in different quantities for each blade.
Complete the Uniting Seven Nopon Quest
To upgrade your weapons, you have to finish the quest "Uniting the Seven Nopon", which becomes availble during Chapter 7 of the story. This quest requires you to find and gather all seven nopons who wield Ultimate Hammers to upgrade the party's Blades.
Odd Shards Changes into Origin Shards
After you've accepted the quest to gather the Seven Nopons, all the Odd Shards you've collected will turn into Origin Shards.
