Special Collector's Edition Contents

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Collector's Edition includes the base game, package artwork from Masatsugu Saito, a full-color 250-page+ hardcover art book, and a steel case. Only the base game is included in the Standard Edition so all other merchandise is exclusive to this edition.

The Special Collector's Edition of the game comes with a box that contains all of the edition contents. The artwork on the box was made by Masatsugu Saito, an artist who provided many of the character designs in the Xenoblade Chronicles series.

Official Art Book

The official art book of the game is also included in this edition. It is a full-color hardcover book with over 250 pages, each page containing different concept art and sketches made before, during, and after the game's development.

Steel Case

A steel case for the game is also provided in addition to the standard plastic case that comes with standard physical versions of the game. The steel case not only looks more stylish than a plastic case, but also provides more protection for the game cartilage.

Where to Buy the Special Collector's Edition

Purchase at the My Nintendo Store

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Collector's Edition is now available for pre-purchase as of June 29, 2022. However, you should expect the additional content to be shipped at a later date. Nintendo has announced that the contents of the Special Collector's Edition will be shipped in fall 2022.

My Nintendo Store UK Pre-orders Delayed

Nintendo UK made an announcement that pre-orders for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Edition will not open before July 29th due to unforeseen logistical challenges.

The game can still be purchased upon release, but pre-orders for the Collector's Edition will open in September, 2022.

Pre-order the Standard Edition

Though you may not be able to purchase the Special Collector's Edition, the Standard Edition for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is still available for pre-order on the My Nintendo Store for both Digital and Physical copies.

Pre-ordering the game allows you to pre-load and play it as soon as the game is released on July 29, 2022. Some retailers even offer exclusive pre-order bonuses for purchasing the game early.

Is the Special Collector's Edition Worth It?

Yes, It Is Definitely Worth It

Though the official price of the Special Collector's Edition has not yet been revealed, we can estimate its cost by exchanging its Japanese currency to USD. 12,078 Yen is around 90 Dollars in the US.

Since the base game costs around $60, you are essentially paying an additional $30 Dollars for all the additional contents included in the bundle, which is roughly the same cost as other Special Editions for other major Nintendo games.
