How to Start Side Quests

Talk to NPCs to Gather Information

Different NPCs in the world of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will give your characters information on possible side quests they can take on. However, unlike most other games, you will not take on the side quest on the spot. Instead, you need to first discuss it with the rest of your team.

Heroes Have Special Hero Quests

In addition to NPCs, heroes will also give your main characters side quests when you recruit them. These Hero Quests need to be completed for you to unlock the hero's class and use it for your other characters.

Discuss the Information in Rest Spots

Before you can officially begin a quest, you first need to head to a Rest Spot and discuss the information received with the rest of the team. Once the information has been discussed, you can begin the side quest.
