Xenoblade 3 Stat Explanation Guide

Stats are a game mechanic that alters the performance of your characters in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Read on to learn the effects of all the different stats in the game and how to raise them!

All Stats Explained

In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, each of your party members has varied stats that, alongside their arts, enable them to fill a specific role within a battle. For example, Noah's initial class is Swordfighter which is known for its powerful physical attacks, meaning that Noah will start with a high Attack Stat.

You can check your stats whenever you decide to change your character's Arts, equipment, or classes. The stats for each character will appear in the lower-left corner.

List of Stats

Stat Parameter
HP

Reduced by damage; characters fall when this hits 0.


HP denotes how much health your character has. This stat, along with a character's defenses, will determine how much damage they can receive from enemies before falling in battle.
Attack

Used to calculate the damage dealt to enemies.


This stat will affect the strength of auto-attacks and physical Combat Arts.
Healing Power

Used to calculate HP restored while healing.


This stat determines the effectiveness of your Healing Arts.
Dexterity

Used to calculate attack accuracy.


Dexterity affects how often your attacks will hit the enemy. The higher it is, the more accurate your attacks become.
Agility

Used to calculate chance of evading enemy attacks.

Agility affects your ability to dodge attacks. Both you and your enemies can dodge attacks.
Block Rate

Chance of blocking enemy attacks.


Block Rate affects your ability to block physical attacks. Your party members and enemies can block physical attacks.
Note: Ether attacks cannot be blocked.
Critical Rate

Chance of attacks resulting in a critical hit.


This will determine how often you land critical hits, greatly increasing the amount of damage done to enemies.
Physical Def.

Damage reduction when taking a physical attack.


This will determine how much damage you receive from physical attacks. Characters with high Physical Defense will be able to handle physical attacks more effectively.
Ether Def.

Damage reduction when taking an ether attack.


Like Physical Defense, Ether Defense determines how much damage you take from Ether Attacks. The higher it is, the more resilient you are to Ether attacks.

How to Increase Stats

Level Up Your Characters

Defeat enemies to gain experience and level up

Various actions, such as defeating enemies and completing quests will earn you experience points that will allow you to increase your level. Your stats will increase automatically when you level up, making this the easiest way to improve the stats of your characters.

Equip Accessories and Gems

Weapons and armor can improve your stats

Equipping various accessories as well as Gems allow you to increase your character's stats as well. Make sure to buy the best versions available when you get the chance.

Change Classes

Change classes to change stats

Changing classes not only allows you to change the combat style of your characters, but also the stats that are greatly increased when leveling up. Changing classes is a good option if you want to improve specific stats of a certain character.
