Best Dishes to Buy

Redfish Grillwrap

Meal Effects & How to Get
Redfish GrillwrapRedfish Grillwrap Effect: 20% EXP Boost
Duration: 28 minutes
Can be purchased for 1000 G at the Lambda Canteen after you complete the quest, Lambda's Problems.

While there are dishes that give better EXP Boosts in the game, the Redfish Grillwrap is one of the first you can actually get your hands on. With a hefty 20% EXP Boost that lasts for 28 minutes, this dish is by far the easiest to get when grinding through the mid-game areas.

Note: The standard quest, Lambda's Problems, is very easy to complete, requiring little to no legwork as its objectives are limited to the confines of Colony Lambda.

Yapolta Veggie-Beans

Meal Effects & How to Get
Yapolta Veggie BeansYapolta Veggie Beans Effect: 20% CP Boost
Duration: 22 minutes
Can be purchased for 800 G at the Colony 9 Canteen after you complete Zeon's Hero Quest.

If you're looking for a boost to CP, Yapolta Veggie-Beans is your go-to. Complete Zeon's Hero Quest, Where the Heart Is, after you finish Valdi's Hero Quest to regain access to Colony 9's Canteen.

Just like most dishes, the early-game ones are usually the best as they are very accessible without having to progress the game significantly. If you want to keep exploring the first 2-3 regions in XC3, this CP-boosting dish will be one of the best to purchase.

Best Recipes to Cook

Brisky-Breezy Toastie

Meal Effects & How to Get
Brisky-Breezy ToastieBrisky-Breezy Toastie Effect:
・Enemy Drop Boost 15%
・Collectible Boost 15%
Duration: 54 minutes
Unlocked after eating the Fish-Fillet Toastie at the Colony 30 Canteen. Finish Valdi's Hero Quest to unlock this Colony.

Due to the many hard-to-locate ingredients in the game, cooking is rarely ever worth it until the late game. However, Brisky-Breezy Toastie is one of the few exceptions as its recipe is fairly easy to complete while still giving you bonuses that favor map exploration.

Mild Sizzle-Fizzle Stew

Meal Effects & How to Get
Mild Sizzle-Fizzle StewMild Sizzle-Fizzle Stew Effect:
・CP Boost 20%
・Collectible Boost 10%
Duration: 48 minutes
Unlocked after eating the Mild Game Stew at the Colony 11 Canteen. Finish Ashera's Hero Quest to unlock this Colony.

Mild Sizzle-Fizzle Stew is one of the best meals when farming CP while exploring. Boosting both CP acquisition rate and collectible gathering, this meal is well worth-it to cook if you plan to explore areas that are at your character level.

Note: Try not to cook and consume this if you plan to explore lower-level regions. Since CP drops significantly based on level differences, it would be ideal to only use this within regions on par with your party level.

Cerise-Caprice Acqua Pazza

Meal Effects & How to Get
Cerise-Caprice Acqua PazzaCerise-Caprice Acqua Pazza Effect:
・EXP Boost 20%
・Enemy Drop Boost 10%
Duration: 54 minutes
Unlocked after eating the Acqua Pazza a la City at the Michiba Canteen in Swordmarch.

If you're looking to do some EXP farming by spamming Unique Monster kills, make sure to cook and consume a Cerise-Caprice Acqua Pazza before you do so. Since both of the meal's boosts affect what Unique Monsters can give, the cooking will pay for itself despite the hefty ingredient list.
