Valdi's Ascension Quest: I'm a Mechanic Walkthrough

I'm a Mechanic in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the Ascension Quest of Valdi, so completing it allows you to rank War Medic up to level 20. Read on for a detailed walkthrough that includes how to unlock the quest, all rewards, and the quest location.

Completing this quest allows you to rank up the War Medic class past Rank 10, all the way up to Rank 20. Since Valdi is a Hero, their class also instantly ranks up to Rank 20.

Complete all unlock conditions and head to Colony 30 Talk to Isurd in Colony Lambda Defeat the Monsters in Great Cotte Falls Return to Colony Lambda and speak to Isurd Talk to Yuzet back in Colony 30 Head to Colony 4 and speak to Solon Make your way to Glam Rock and defeat the monsters Return to the Colony 30 Entrance Speak to Yuzet in Colony 30 to complete the quest

Complete All Unlock Conditions and Head to Colony 30

To unlock the quest, you'll need to progress the construction of Dorrick, a Levnis near the Colony 30 entrace, up to Phase 5. However, to get to Phase 5, you'll need complete a series of quests and finish the previous phases.

Like other Ascension Quests, you will also need to rank up War Medic to Rank 10 and have Valdi in your party. Once theses conditions are met, head to the ? on your map to speak to Yuzet who is confined to his bed due to exhaustion.

I'm a Mechanic Unlock Conditions

Talk to Isurd in Colony Lambda

After speaking to Yuzet in the tent, you'll need to head to Colony Lambda in the Pentelas Region and talk to Isurd. Commander Isurd will talk about a problem he has been having with a few monsters around the region.

Defeat the Monsters in Great Cotte Falls

Valdi and your team offer to help Isurd deal with some of the monsters. Head to a small island in the Great Cotte Falls designated on your map and defeat the Ansels hovering over the flowers.

Return to Colony Lambda and Speak to Isurd

Once the monsters have been dealt with, return to Colony Lambda and tell Isurd the good news.

Talk to Yuzet Back in Colony 30

After completing the errands for Colony Lambda, head back to Colony 30 and speak to Yuzet once again in his tent. During a cutscene, you find out that some shipments from Colony 4 have not been shipped to Colony 30.

Head to Colony 4 and Speak to Solon

Head to Colony 4 and talk to Solon to find out what happened to the shipments. He explains that a few of his fellow soldiers are lost in the Dannagh Dessert, which is why he cannot send supplies.

Make Your Way to Glam Rock and Defeat the Monsters

After learning about this, make your way to Glam Rock to find the soldiers. When you arrive, you will need to defeat a New Skeeter Swarm that is attacking a soldier named Brunella.

Return to the Colony 30 Entrance

Once you have completed the errands in Colony 4, you can return to the Colony 30 Entrance to trigger a cutscene.

Speak to Yuzet in Colony 30 to Complete the Quest

Head inside Colony 30 and speak to Yuzet, who is now well and able to walk around the Colony. After the cutscene between them concludes, the quest is complete.
