Monica's Ascension Quest: Promise to the Future Walkthrough

Promise to the Future in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the Ascension Quest of Monica, so completing it allows you to rank Lost Vanguard up to level 20. Read on for a detailed walkthrough that includes how to unlock the quest, all rewards, and the quest location.

Completing this quest allows you to rank up the Lost Vanguard class past Rank 10, all the way up to Rank 20. Since Monica is a Hero, their class also instantly ranks up to Rank 20.

Go to Virid Park in the City after Unlocking the Quest

Like all Ascension Quests, you will first need rank up the Lost Vanguard class up to Rank 10 to unlock Promise to the Future. Once unlocked, you will see a ? over Virid Park in the City while Monica is in your party. Head to this spot to begin the quest.

Head inside Michiba Canteen

After the cutscene at Virid Park, walk inside Michiba Canteen where another cutscene will play out. At the end of the cutscene, Monica finds out that some of her Ouroboros candidates have fled the city.

Talk to Garret in the Residential District

After the events in the canteen, you will need to head to the Residential District, which is found in the south side of the City, and talk to Garrett.

Head to Corne Island in the Cadensia Region

Once you have spoken to Garrett, head to Corne Island in the Cadensia Region, just north of Doublecrag Gate. Once there, you will see a pack of monsters attacking the candidates at the bottom of the cliff.

Get to the Bottom of the Cliff

Simply jumping down will likely resulting in your characters dying, so it is best to find another way to get to the bottom. On the opposite cliff face is a climbable wall that you can use to get down safely.

Battle the Monsters to Save the Candidates

Once you reach the candidates, help them fend off the pack of monsters. Once all the monsters are defeated and the final cutscene ends, the quest is complete.
