Completing this quest allows you to rank up the Tactician class past Rank 10, all the way up to Rank 20. However, since Taion is a playable character, they do not instantly rank up to 20, unlike Heroes.

1. Discuss The Sea at the Inlet Camp

To get Taion's ascension quest, you need to discuss "The Sea" at the Inlet Camp in the Cadensia Region with Riku & Manana. You can find the info fragment for the discussion at the Ascension Grounds in Agnus Castle.

2. Travel to Clearwater Shelf in Colony Gamma

Talk to Isurd at Clearwater Shelf in Colony Gamma. He'll tell you about his past and a Lost Colony in the Cadensia Region that Nimue used to live in. He wants to ask you to save that colony from an impending attack.

After talking with Isurd, head to the Lambda Shelter rest spot with Riku & Manana to discuss "Isurd's Request" with the party.

3. Head to Hermit's Inlet

After discussing "Isurd's Request", talk to Isurd again and travel to Hermit's Inlet located east of Inlet Camp in the Cadensia Region, to reach the Lost Colony. Inside the cave, you'll encounter several Agnus Levnis headed by the Consul.

4. Assist Lost Colony Soldiers

Sneak around the Moebius forces and travel east of Farlaine Underpass. From there, you'll find soldiers from the Lost Colony fending off a Levnis attack. Assist the soldiers by defeating the 3 Levnis attacking them.

5. Continue to the Lost Colony

After helping the colony soldiers in the battle, continue on the Farlaine Underpass to get to the Lost Colony. From there, Nimue will escort you to Stella to explain the situation.

Since the colony refused to leave, the party decided to explore the area to find out how to help them. This is where you will encounter a destroyed Ferronis near the barracks.

6. Gather Materials for the Broken Ferronis

After getting an idea, Taion asks the party to collect parts to repair the damaged Ferronis to help save the Lost Colony.

7. Defeat the Consul

After using the Ferronis to distract the Levnis forces, the party finds an opportunity to fight the Consul alone. Defeat the Consul to conclude Taion's side quest and unlock the Tactician's class rank up to 20.
