Auto-run is a feature that allows you to move your character without pushing the left stick forward in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Read on to learn how to use auto-run, auto-walk, and how to stop auto-runs!

How to Use Auto-Run

Press the Left Stick While Running

Xenoblade 3 - Auto-run IconAuto-Run Icon Seeing this icon on the lower right corner of your screen indicates that you are automatically moving.

In order to auto-run, press the left stick while running. Doing this will have your characters run towards the direction you're facing automatically without pushing the left stick forward.

You can turn your characters slightly to change the direction they will run towards. However, sharp turns will stop the auto-run entirely.

Auto-Walk is Also Possible

Automatic movement can also be used for walking by pressing the left stick while slightly pushing the left stick forward.

Move the Opposite Direction to Stop

Aside from making sharp turns, moving the opposite direction of where you're running will stop the auto-run. Alternatively, you can also stop auto-runs by pressing the left stick while moving automatically.
