Class Rating is the speed at which each character ranks up an individual class, so the lower their Class Rating, the slower it takes for them to rank up the class.
Thaumaturge is the default class of Teach, a hero in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. To unlock this class and equip it to your main characters, you must first complete their Hero Quest: Going Beyond Power.
Going Beyond Power Walkthrough
After you unlock this class, it will have a rank cap of 10, so you are unable to upgrade its Arts and skills further than that rank. To break the rank cap and extend the limit up to Rank 20, you must first complete the quest Shadow of Enmity.
Recommended Characters | |
---|---|
Mio | Taion |
The Thaumaturge Class is primarily a Healer Class, but many of its Arts and skills also make them decent at dealing damage in the squad. Having excellent Healing Power but also decent Attack is vital for this class, which is why Mio and Taion are recommended.
Art | Attack Type | AoE | Base Effect |
---|---|---|---|
Rank Splitter | Physical Attack | One Target | Heals nearby allies when Art hits, to max of 100% of Healing Power. |
Spearpoint Thrust | Physical Attack | One Target | None |
Leaping Current | Clear Debuffs | AOE around User | None |
The best Thaumaturge Arts not only deal damage to opponents, but also apply incredibly useful buffs or debuffs. Though Divine Protection is also a great Art, if you plan on equipping Advanced Cooldown as a Master Art, it isn't as necessary.
Art | Base Effect | Class Rank |
---|---|---|
Shadow Eye | Aggro Halved / Atk. Up |
Rank 10 |
Multi Blast | Area heal on hit |
Rank 1 |
Advanced Cooldown | Field / Def. up |
Rank 10 |
Though Shadow Eye is primarily an Attacker Art, it also works incredibly well with the Thaumaturge class due to its ability to halve your aggro while at the same time boosting your Attack.
Advanced Cooldown is another useful support Art, but you may not need it if you plan on using Divine Protection as a Combat Art. Multi Blast can be used for additional Healing when needed.
Art | Base Effect | Class Rank |
---|---|---|
Technical Heal | Heal party |
Rank 20 |
It is best to equip the default Talent Art for the class since the Burst effect allows you to activate a skill that heals all allies. However, if you are looking for an alternate Talent Art, Technical Heal also heals a similar amount of HP, but it does not deal any damage or have any other effects.
Skill | Effect | Class Rank |
---|---|---|
Ninja Healer | Reduces aggro generated from healing Arts by 30%. |
Rank 5 |
Healing License | Boosts amount of HP healed from using healing Arts by 20%. |
Rank 5 |
Strengthening Gambit | Extends duration of buff effects issued by 30%. |
Rank 5 |
Master Skills from other Healer classes work well with Thaumaturge builds since they can help make them more effective at their role. Strengthening Gambit only works well if you decide you equip your character will several buffing Arts.
Skill | Effect | Class Rank |
---|---|---|
Abundant Oceans | Reduces damage to allies by 10%, increases Healing by 10%. (The effect does not stack.) |
Rank 15 |
Abundant Oceans is the best Rank 15 Master Skill for the Thaumaturge class. However, the skill is only available in the Post Game, so it is best to stick with the list above on your first playthrough of the game.
Boosted HP Healed from Arts | Reduced Aggro from Healing Arts | Extends Duration of Burst |
---|---|---|
Immaculate Necklace | Affection Ring | Star Anklets |
Healer accessories that increase the amount of HP healed or reduce the aggro generated by their Arts are best. Since the class will also deal plenty of Burst attacks due to its Talent Art and skill, a Star Anklet is also recommended.
Increased Healing | Reduced Aggro from Arts | Boosted Buff Power |
---|---|---|
Lifebearer | Disperse Bloodlust | Swelling Blessing |
As Healers, Thaumaturge builds benefit from increasing their Healing Power and reducing their aggro. Since many of their Arts also grant different buffs, boosting these buff effects also work. Instead of Swelling Blessing, Refined Blessing would also work as an alternative.
