Gotham Knights Might be Heading to Nintendo Switch 2
Based on a Game Developer’s Resume
YouTuber Doctre81, on January 5, 2025, claimed that Gotham Knights might be among the third-party titles heading to the Nintendo Switch 2. The claim was based on a developer’s resume, which indicated prior work on Gotham Knights.
The developer in question worked at QLOC from 2018 to 2023, listing several games on their resume, such as Mortal Kombat 11 and Tales of Vesperia. However, one particularly interesting entry is Gotham Knights, which is being developed for two unreleased platforms.
The first platform might be the original Nintendo Switch, as the game was previously rated by the ESRB for this console. However, its performance issues on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S might have affected the possibility of porting Gotham Knights. Although, the developers of the game might have other plans, as it is also listed on another unreleased platform, pointing toward the latest and upcoming Nintendo console.
There are currently no official announcements from either Warner Bros. Games or Nintendo, so take this information with a grain of salt. However, the only currently unreleased and highly anticipated platform today is the Nintendo Switch 2.
Gotham Knights Rated for Nintendo Switch in 2023
Originally released in October 2022 for PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X, Gotham Knights was reportedly set to be released on the original Nintendo Switch after it received an ESRB rating. Some players speculated that the game might be featured in an upcoming Nintendo Direct presentation.
Despite the reports, the game has not been officially announced for the Nintendo Switch. In addition, the ESRB rating for Gotham Knights on this console has since been removed from their website.
Although Gotham Knights did not make it to the original Switch, the recent YouTube report and its ESRB rating from 2023 may suggest a possible release for the upcoming Switch 2.
Nintendo Switch 2’s Backwards Compatibility and Official Announcement
Shuntaro Furukawa, the current president of Nintendo, posted on Twitter on May 7, 2024, that they will announce more information about the Switch’s successor "within this fiscal year." The time for its official announcement is almost here, as Nintendo’s fiscal year concludes in March 2025.
In a more recent Twitter post, Furukawa also revealed that the Switch 2 is backward compatible with the original Switch. According to this announcement, the "Nintendo Switch software" and "Nintendo Switch Online" will both be available on the upcoming console. However, information is still under wraps regarding whether players can use their physical cartridges as well, or if it is purely for digital games.

https://comedy.gomuviz.com The other day, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a twenty five foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!
