To unlock Recalling the Past, players will simply need to finish the Reforging the Soul main quest and pick up the Spark of Life quest item from the Chaos Engine at the end.

| 1 |  After securing the Spark of Life from the Chaos Engine, return to the Curator at the Central Core of the library. |
| 2 |  Deliver the Spark of Life to the Curator and speak to him after he uses it for some rewards. After speaking to him, the area to the north west of the Central Core will unlock. Rewards: ・Discordant Plates (Chest Armor) x1 ・3,900 Gold |
| 3 |  Once the magical gates are down, head into the unlocked section to Find the Curator in the Archive of Secrets. Speak to him there to progress the quest. |
| 4 |  After speaking to him in the Archive of Secrets, follow the Curator to the alcove that houses the entrance of the Destruction's End dungeon. Upon arrival, the next main quest, Dark Exile, will immediately trigger. |
