How to Get Runes

Complete Elder Rifts

All but the Ati rune will be gated behind the Elder Rift PvE activity. In order to gather sufficient materials to craft Legendary Gems, players will need to complete Elder Rifts. After defeating the Rift Guardian, there will be a chance for Runes to drop.

Use Crests and Legendary Crests to Boost Drop Rates

Alternatively, players can guarantee drops by taking of the boosted drop rates offered by Crests and Legendary Crests. When equipped before opening an Elder Rift, Rift Guardian loot drops will be modified, guaranteeing certain drops and boosting the drop rate of others.

However, do note that crests are not free. Players will need to spend real money in order to purchase a few copies from Diablo Immortal's in-game store.

How to Use Runes

Used to Craft Legendary Gems

The only use of runes is to craft Legendary Gems. In Diablo Immortal, these precious items will gate your competitiveness, making Runes very valuable resources by extension. To craft Legendary Gems using Runes, head over to any of the in-game Jewelers and select the craft option.
