In order to initiate any Raid Boss battle, you need to have the Summoning Altar in a base. It can be unlocked in the Technologies Tab once you reach Level 33. Note that the Summoning Altar can only be used once, so have the materials at the ready in a chest nearby.

You need to have a Beakon with amazing investment for this build. By attacking while mounted, you can infuse your attacks with Electric Type and whittle down the boss' Healh Bar with a Overheat Rifle shots. You can power up this team even further if Beakon and Gobfin all have the Vanguard passive.
You can also replace a Gobfin with a Wixen in case you need to destroy Hartalis' barrier with Fire DMG.

Any of these Pals will be great to have in your base to help you battle Hartalis during the first phase of the boss fight due to it being weak to Lightning DMG. Make sure to have all your Pals set up before you summon the Boss.

After beating Hartalis during Phase 1, you've got enough time to swap your Pals for a different loadout, since Hartalis will switch to Neutral Type in Phase 2. With this, your mount should be a Dark Pal like Frostallion Noct. This time, bring 4 Gobfins to max out their buffs.

While Hartalis is still prepping for phase 2, swap your base Pals to any of the Dark Pals above to deal a lot of damage when the second phase starts!

The best Armor to use in general are the Hexolite Helmet and Lightweight Hexolite Armor. If you have the Legendary Schematics for these, you can craft those instead. Equipping the Attack Pendant will increase your damage, while the new boots will increase your mobility.

The best weapons to carry are the Overheat Rifle and Multi Guided Missle Launcher for the whole raid boss fight. You can also bring a Terraprisma to summon swords to aid you in battle. If you have the Legendary Schematics for these, you can craft those instead.
Best Player Builds (Main Character Builds)

With the Home Sweet Home update, you can now fight raid bosses in a Raid Area. With this, you don't need to risk any damage in your base.

During both phases of the Hartalis boss fight, it will summon a barrier to protect itself from damage. In phase 1, it will either conjure a barrier that can only be broken by Fire or Electric attacks. With this, make sure you have a Fire or Electric Pal in you team that will change your player characters' attack type.
During phase 2, Hartalis will only generate a Neutral-type barrier. With this, you need to deal Dark-type DMG for it to break!

After beating Hartalis in phase 1, you will have some time to swap your Pals via the Palbox in the Raid Area. With this, just swap in your Dark Pals to prepare for phase 2!

Sometime in phase 2, crystals will spawn on the map before Hartalis does a powerful AoE attack. Hide behind them to avoid taking damage.
Another way to make the Raid easier is to join in on other people within your server. This raid is no easy feat to accomplish and having friends will make this easier.
