The best player stats to level up in Palworld are Weight and Stamina. Learn the priority stats to upgrade, stat growth, maximum stat values, and the effects of each stat point.
Stat | Effect | Ranking |
---|---|---|
Weight | Player Max Carrying Capacity. Movement will become slow if over the limit. | ★★★★★ |
Stamina | Player Stamina. Decreases while running or climbing. You are unable to run when this reaches 0. | ★★★★☆ |
HP (Health) |
Player Vitality. You collapse from fatigue if this reaches 0. | ★★★☆☆ |
Work Speed | Player Work Speed. Affects the efficiency of working on various tasks at base. | ★★☆☆☆ |
Attack | Player Attack. Damage dealt increases as attack power increases. | ★☆☆☆☆ |
Stat | Base Value | Growth Per Level | Max Stat Growth |
---|---|---|---|
Weight | 500 | +50 | 2950 |
Stamina | 100 | +10 | 590 |
HP (Health) |
100 | +100 | 5000 |
Work Speed | 100 | +50 | 2550 |
Attack | 100 | +2 | 198 |
The maximum player level you can achieve is 50. Starting at Lv. 1, you can boost a stat to a maximum of 49 times. Max Stat Growth Formula is computed as: (Growth Per Level × 49) + Base Value. |
Your Pals will do the heavy lifting for battles and material gathering, so only some stats are practical for improvement. Stamina and Weight are top priority player stats since they generally help in resource gathering and exploration.
These player stats will make it more convenient for you in traversing rough terrain, combat (for dodges/weapon swings), and base management (which is a big part of progressing the game).
It is best at early levels to invest some of your player stat points in Weight since you'll be working to build up your first base as fast as possible, and with few upgrades and low limits on the number of Pals allowed at a base, you won't be able to rely on Pals as much to gather resources for you.
Continue putting points into Weight until you no longer struggle with the limit. At that point, it should be fine to start investing in other Stats. If you need some extra weight capacity increase, consider looking for Pals that improve carry weight capacity!
How to Increase Carry Capacity
Investing stat points in Stamina increases your stamina bar, allowing you to perform more physical actions such a sprinting, climbing, and even using a Glider.
Stamina is a player stat used various physical actions like dodging and swings for attacking and resource gathering. Put more points into this when you are not struggling with your Weight capacity and if you need more decisive movement out in exploration.
Even though it is much more efficient to have your Pals battle for you, keep an eye out on your HP (health) since enemies can target you also. You can be one or two-shot by higher-level opponents if you aren't prepared.
This player stat still isn't essential as you can boost your defenses with Shields and Armor, but it's a good choice if you aren't strugging with Weight or Stamina.
How to Heal Pals and Player HP
Increasing the Work Speed player stat allows you to reduce the crafting and building times of items and facilities, as well as gathering times for materials.
For the most part, since you will be assigning your Pals to do most of the work at a base, Work Speed will not come into play so often. This stat is useful when you are building another base and do not have all of your Pals around to help or crafting most things yourself.
The Attack player stat increases the damage you can inflict on enemies. Usually, you will want to prioritize other stats before this since you have your Pals to do most of the damage. Your choice of weapon has a greater effect on the damage you deal, so test your equipment before you invest into attack.
Stat growths for attack are also low, granting only +2 points per level up. Consider this stat for other purposes like human-only runs, PvP, multiplayer (when you take up the mantle of a fighter in a team), or anything else when you have become comfortable with the rest of your stat values.
