Palworld 0.1.5.0 Update New Features

Renaming Pals Now Available on Xbox Game Pass Version

With the Steam and Xbox Game Pass version updates now synced, this update introduces the Pal renaming feature to the Xbox Game Pass version of the game, which was unavailable from the last version, Version 0.1.1.4.

Save Data Backup Improvement

Major Fixes
・Implemented backup of save data on the world selection screen ・Resolved issue of unnecessary data accumulating in save data

Worlds and save data can now be backed up in-game instead of the previous method of browsing through the game's files.

Note that this is a Steam version exclusive feature. While the Steam and Xbox Game Pass version updates are now synced, the Xbox Game Pass version does not have this feature.

・Changed long-press operation during player tasks to allow continuous work by pressing the work button once (This is switchable in the options settings) ・Fixed issue where riding in prohibited hunting areas would not result in a crime ・Improved interaction accuracy with adjacent objects

This update features a setting where players can craft, cook, or plant without holding the button to do the action. Access the settings to activate or turn off this option.

New Pal Features

・Changed specifications so that when a Pal is instructed to "attack aggressively," the Pal will attack enemies indiscriminately even if they are not in combat ・Corrected an issue to allow Pals of rank 1 or higher to be selected as concentrated material (higher-ranked Pals yield more points when concentrated) ・Fixed bug where if a large amount of experience points were gained and the level increased to 50 at once, Pals would not learn any active skills ・Mitigated an issue where using Mossanda's partner skill "Grenadier Panda" on a dungeon boss would cause the boss to get stuck in walls

Pals ranked through the Pal Essence Condenser will now give more essence points when concentrated into another Pal.

Pals set to Attack Aggressively previously only made the Pal aggressive when it was in combat. It now actively attacks any potential enemy regardless if it's combat or not.

Pals should also now learn their respective Active Skills properly even with EXP multipliers turned on. Do note that this is not applied retroactively to Pals that are already at level 50, so if you had Pals that were already at max level before this patch, they will not learn their corresponding level 50 move.

・Fixed an issue where base Pals would get stuck on top of a logging site, etc. ・Added measures to prevent the issue where base Pals would wander around and get stuck at the border of the base area ・Fixed an issue where Pals at the base would get stuck repeatedly starting transportation tasks and the light bulbs icon would appear over and over again. ・Added measures to prevent the issue of base Pals getting stuck in the farm on a roof ・Fixed an issue where work Pals would get stuck in the summon space of Palbox when restarting the server on a dedicated server. ・Adjusted the default work priority of base Pals (Anubis will prioritize manual labour) ・Significantly relaxed building restrictions for stairs and triangular roofs ・Fixed an issue where sound would play in an infinite loop when Pals at the base used certain active skills. ・Specifications changed so that all changes in environmental temperature are added up (if you put 4 campfires next to each other, the surrounding area will have the temperature of a volcano) ・Implemented "relax" working style on the monitoring stand

Various updates have been made to improve how Pals perform in bases. This update has made changes to prevent Pals from getting stuck for multiple reasons in bases.

Work priority for Pals has been updated, making some Pals prioritize doing a certain line of tasks before any other tasks.

Nails were primarily crafted to sell to NPCs for a high price, then using the Gold Coins retrieved from this method to buy precious materials, equipment, and ammo. This method has been significantly nerfed.

Pals Working Slow and Retaining their Innate Passive Skills

v0.1.5.0 Known Issues

・With the implementation of [Relax] work mode on the monitoring stand, the default work state of the base where a monitoring stand has already been placed is now set to [Relax]. As a result, the work speed of Pals at the base is slow. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please change the work mode from the monitoring stand. ・There is an issue where Pals created through breeding retain their passives. We plan to roll back this change as soon as possible.

Pals Set to Relax Working Mode

Bases that had Monitoring Stands before the update had their Pals set to work in Relax mode, the slowest working mode available, after the update. An easy fix for this issue is manually changing the working mode in your base's Monitoring Stand.

Bred Pals Always Hatch with their Innate Traits

Pals hatched from breeding will always have their innate Passive Skills regardless of what Passive Skills the parents had. For example, a hatched Cattiva or Relaxaurus would always have the negative Coward or Glutton trait; however, hatched Legendary Pals will always have the Legend Passive Skill. A fix is planned to resolve this issue in a later update.

This issue has been fixed as of the Version 0.1.5.1 Update, released on February 29, 2024.

Steam Manual Download Enable Steam Auto-Update Check Updates on Xbox Game Pass Enable Xbox Game Pass Auto-Update

The Palworld update version 0.1.5.0 is available for Steam and Xbox Game Pass services. Both services feature automatic and manual downloading of game updates.

Steam Manual Download

When an update is available, Steam will usually schedule the update later. You can bypass this scheduled date by manually downloading the update from the Library Menu. Press the blue Update button to start the update download and installation.

Enable Steam Auto-Update

Enable (or turn off) Palworld's auto-update from its Properties Menu. To do so, right-click Palworld from the Library Menu and click on Properties. Enter the Updates tab and select the setting that suits your preference.

Check Updates on Xbox Game Pass

If the Update button is unavailable for the Palworld page in your library, access the Manage settings from the three-dot menu button. Enter the Files tab and select the Check for Updates button. You will be notified if an update is available and the option to start downloading and installing the update.

Enable Xbox Game Pass Auto-Update

To turn auto-updates for Palworld on or off, go to the Installation Queue menu and select the Install Options button. Select the Enable automatic updates checkbox from there to turn the auto-update feature on or off.
