Baked Berries	Cooking enhances their nutritional value, and surprisingly, they are quite filling.
Baked Mushroom	Cooking this mushroom enhances its nutritional value. Curiously, it's also quite filling.
Beautiful Flower	A plant that blooms colorful flowers. Can be used to make Suspicious Juice and Strange Juice.
Bellanoir Libero (Ultra) Slab	Slab overflowing with Bellanoir Libero's energy. Offer to a Summoning Altar to summon an inconceivably powerful (Lv 50) Bellanoir Libero.

Bone	Bone collected from Pals. Used in the creation of high quality Paldium.
Bread	Bread made from baked Flour. A tasty staple food.
Broiled Dumud	Grilled fish slathered with a secret sauce. Soothes both mind and body. Perfect for tired Pal Tamers.
Broncherry Meat	Giant meat full of massive stores of energy. Stuffed to the brim with nutrients gathered through photosynthesis.
Broncherry Rib Roast	Grilled meat brimming with the flavor of the king of the wilds. Juices from the compressed meat flow from the bone, making it surprisingly tender despite the initial toughness.
Cake	A dish that is eaten during celebrations. Put it in the chest at your breeding farm to have a Pal lay a particularly healthy egg.
Caprity Meat	Healthy and full of nutrients. Hints of berries scenting the meat stimulates the appetite.
Carbon Fiber	A lightweight yet sturdy material. Used to create armor among other equipment.
Carbonara	A dish mixing pasta with Egg and Milk. Eating it makes it harder for sanity to decrease and improves Defense by +10% for a certain amount of time.
Carrying Lotus (S)	Small purple flower that is extremely difficult to obtain. Needed to make Carrying Remedies.
Cavern Mushroom	Mushroom that grows prolifically in caves. Can be made into healing medicine.
Cement	Cement used for creating structures and more. Can be produced in a High Quality Workbench.
Charcoal	Charcoal made from burning Wood. It can be combined with Sulfur to create Gunpowder.
Chikipi Poultry	Light and easy to it, it's a local favorite for residents of Palpagos Island.
Chikipi Saute	Plump poultry sauteed in butter. Accented with fresh lemons. Eat to slightly increase work speed for a period of time.
Circuit Board	Circuit Board required to create precision equipment. Can be made at High Quality Workbench.
Cloth	Cloth woven from Wool. Required to create armor.
Coal	Coal often found in caves and other places. Required to create high quality metal.
Common Egg	A Common Egg containing a Neutral Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.
Copper Key	A key that can unlock locked treasure chests.
Cotton Candy	Cotton candy collected from Woolipop. Its sweetness fluffily melts away in your mouth.
Damp Egg	A Damp Egg containing a Water Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.
Dark Egg	A Dark Egg containing a Dark Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.
Dazzi Cloud	Cloud dropped from a Dazzi. Soft and fluffy, it is used to make clothing.
Diamond	A rare gemstone that glows brilliantly. Can be sold t o a merchant for a high price.
Dragon Egg	A Dragon Egg containing a Dragon Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.
Dumud Chowder	Dumud lavishly covered in a thick, creamy soup. Eat to increase work speed and stay full slightly longer for a period of time.
Earth Skill Fruit: Sand Tornado	Utilizing it on Pal allows Sand Tornado to be learned.
Egg	Delicious when fried, but can also be used to cook various meals. Chikipi produce them.
Eikthyrdeer Loco Moco	Thick hamburger steak accented with a creamy fried egg. This sublime combination brings pure joy to the mouths of those who eat it. Eat to increase Attack by +20% for a period of time.
Eikthyrdeer Stew	A tender, melt-in-your-mouth venison stew crafted with love. The intertwining flavors of vegetables and meat create a harmonious blend that brings out a comforting richness. Eat to increase Defense by +20% for a period of time.

Electric Egg	An Electric Egg containing an Electric Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.
Electric Organ	It stores electricity, but requires caution when used.
Emerald	A gemstone that glows green. Can be sold to a merchant for a high price.
Fiber	Fiber collected from trees. A material used when creating bows, etc.
Flame Organ	Material obtainable from Fire Pals. Can be used to make Fire Arrow and more.
Flour	Flour made from grinding wheat. It can be used as an ingredient for Bread.
Fried Chikipi	Magnificently juicy poultry. Eat to increase work speed and make SAN decrease slower for a period of time.
Fried Egg	An Egg now fried and even more delicious. Great for keeping hunger away.
Fried Kelpsea	Crunchy fried batter perfectly accentuates the Kelpsea's plumpness. Eat to increase Defense by +10% and make SAN decrease slower for a period of time.
Frozen Egg	A Frozen Egg containing an Ice Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.

Galeclaw Poultry	Full of nutrition, its flavor packs a punch.
Gold Coin	Currency traded on Palpagos Island. Can be exchanged for items or Pals with merchants.
Gold Key	A key that can be used to open locked treasure chests.
Grilled Chikipi	Chicken skewer slow-grilled over a charcoal fire. Light and refreshing on the tongue.
Grilled Galeclaw	Grilled meat full of vitality for flying high in the skies.
Grilled Kelpsea	Fresh fish grilled over a charcoal fire. Plump and juicy.
Grilled Lamball	Marinated mutton slow cooked over a grill. Eat to slightly increase work speed and make SAN decrease slightly slower for a period of time.
Gumoss Leaf	Leaves dropped from a Gumoss. Used to make clothing.
Gunpowder	Gunpowder used to fire ammunition. Required to make bullets.
Herb Roasted Caprity	Mild roast filled with the natural aromas of herbs and berries embedded in the meat. Gives a pleasant sense of warmth when eaten outdoors.
Herb Roasted Lamball	Indulges in an abundance of fresh berries to create a tantalizing aroma that accentuates the unique flavor of mutton. Eat to increase Defense by +10% for a period of time.
High Grade Medical Supplies	High Grade Medical Supplies that are effective at treating Weakened and Depressed. They do not heal Health.
High Grade Technical Manual	A book that contains secrets of amazing technology. Use it to obtain a few Technology Points.
High Quality Cloth	High Quality Cloth woven from a large amount of Wool. Required to create high quality
High Quality Pal Oil	High-quality oil that can be extracted from Pal. Necessary for making Polymer.
High Quality Recovery Meds	Medicine that heals wounds over time. High quality, restores a lot of Health.
Honey	Honey harvested from Beegarde. It's sweet and tasty.
Horn	Horn collected from Pals. Used to create medicines and more.
Hot Milk	Even more delicious when warmed up. Great for keeping hunger away.

Jam-filled Bun	Brad with jam spread on it. The sweetness of the berries complements it perfectly.
Katress Hair	Hair dropped from a Katress. Used to make clothing.
Lamball Kebab	Spiced and roasted mutton. Deeply complex with unique flavors.
Lamball Mutton	Lamball meat. Red meat with a unique flavor. Delicious, but takes some getting used to.
Large Common Egg	A large Common Egg containing a Neutral Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.

Lettuce	A leafy green. When it comes to salad, this is a must. It has an exquisitely crunchy texture and refreshing taste.
Lettuce Seeds	Seeds that produce Lettuce. Necessary for starting a farm. Can be purchased from a merchant.
Life Fruit	Precious fruit that is extremely difficult to obtain. Slightly increases a Pal's health.
Life Lotus (L)	Large green flower that is extremely difficult to obtain. Needed to make Life Elixirs.
Life Lotus (S)	Small green flower that is extremely difficult to obtain. Needed to make Life Remedies.
Low Grade Medical Supplies	Low Grade Medical Supplies good for colds and sprains. They do not heal HP when eaten, however.
Low Quality Recovery Meds	Medicine that heals wounds over time. Low quality, but restores some Health.
Mammorest Meat	With massive size comes massive flavor. Its overwhelming portions are sure to satisfy any glutton.
Mammorest Steak	Boasts a rich and dignified flavor. Memories of the glaciers and deep forests come rushing back with every bite.
Marinated Mushrooms	A dish made by marinating Mushroom in a marinade. Eating it improves Defense by +10% for a period of time.
Medical Supplies	Strange Medical Supplies that are effective at treating Ulcer and Fracture. They do not heal Health.
Medium Pal Soul	A spirit left behind by a Pal. It can draw out hidden abilities if offered to a Statue of Power.
Memory Wiping Medicine	A potion that allows the player to reset their status points when consumed. It has no effect if consumed by a Pal.
Milk	Drink it as is, or use it in various meals. Can be milked from Mozzarina.
Mind Control Meds	Mind Control Meds that are extremely effective in controlling dissidents. they do not heal Health.
Mozzarina Cheeseburger	Now with cheese, this dish has reached the highest level of fine cuisine. Eat to increase Attack by +20% and stay full longer for a period of time.
Mozzarina Hamburger	The rich flavor of beef melds with the sweetness of the buns in perfect harmony in this masterpiece. Eat to increase work speed and make SAN decrease slightly slower for a period of time.
Mozzarina Meat	With massive size comes massive flavor. Its overwhelming portions are sure to satisfy any glutton.
Mozzarina Steak	Thick, well-done steak. Strong flavors give those who eat it an energy boost.
Mushroom	A mushroom that can be eaten raw. They can be found anywhere on the island.
Mushroom Soup	Cream soup made of Mushrooms. Eating it allows you to stay fuller for slightly longer for a period of time.
Nail	Necessary for building various facilities. Can be made with a Primitive Workbench.
Omelet	A dish made by frying an Egg and topping it with ketchup. Eating it improves Attack by +10% for a period of time.
Ore	Becomes an ingot when refined using a furnace. Can be found in caves and other places. There are rumors of Pals capable of detecting ore.
Pal Fluids	Body fluids taken from a Pal. Useful for its high viscosity.
Pal Metal Ingot	Material required to create weapons and armor using Pal Metal. Made stronger by creating an alloy from metal and Paldium.
Paldium Fragment	Crystallized energy from the World Tree. Capable of creating supernatural items and structures.
Pancake	A dish baked by mixing Flour and Milk together and then baking. Eating it progressively decreases the rate at which one's sanity decreases for a period of time.
Penking Plume	Plume dropped from a Penking. Used to make clothing.
Pizza	A dish made by piling Red Berries, Tomato and cheese on Bread. Eating it improves Defense by +15% temporarily.
Polymer	Made from refined oil. Required for producing various advanced items such as rifles.
Power Fruit	Precious fruit that is extremely difficult to obtain. Slightly increases a Pal's attack.
Power Lotus (L)	Large red flower that is extremely difficult to obtain. Needed to make Power Elixirs.
Power Lotus (S)	Small red flower that is extremely difficult to obtain. Needed to make Power Remedies.
Precious Claw	Extremely sharp claws collected from Pals. Can be sold to a merchant for a high price.
Precious Dragon Stone	A gemstone-like ball collected from Pals. Can be sold to a merchant for a high price.
Precious Entrails	A heart that never stops beating collected from Pals. Can be sold to a merchant for a high price.
Precious Pelt	Fluffy fur collected from Pals. Can be sold to a merchant for a high price.
Precious Plume	Glittering feathers collected from Pals. Can be sold to a merchant for a high price.
Pure Quartz	Pure Quartz often found in snowy fields and similar places. Required to create Circuit Board.
Raw Dumud	Fatty with a rich taste. Has a mouthwatering plump texture.
Raw Kelpsea	Tender and slightly sweet. Fish meat tends to spoil quickly.
Recovery Meds	Medicine that heals wounds over time. Restores a decent amount of Health.
Red Berries	A versatile ingredient that is delicious raw or cooked. They can be found anywhere on the island.
Refined Ingot	A material required to create high quality metal weapons and armor. Refined from Ore and Coal using a furnace.
Reindrix Stew	Stewed vegetables and venison reared in a frigid environment. The meat's soft texture melts away to reveal a delicate sweetness. Eat to stay full slightly longer for a period of time.
Reindrix Venison	Reindrix meat. Strange venison capable of remaining at low temperatures. Takes a very long time to spoil.
Roast Eikthyrdeer	Carefully roasted venison with delicate flavor notes accented by the aromas of the deep forest. Elegant taste for an elegant lifestyle.
Roast Reindrix	When taken from a flame, Reindrix meat rapidly drops in temperature. This allows it to retain freshness for long periods of time, making it a perfect emergency ration.
Roast Rushoar	Boar grilled over a hearty flame. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Perfect as an extravagant main dish for a big party.
Rocky Egg	A Rocky Egg containing a Ground Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.
Ruby	A gemstone that glows red. Can be sold to a merchant for a high price.
Rushoar Bacon 'n' Eggs	The smoky essence of bacon intertwines flawlessly with the gentle texture of eggs, creating a sublime harmony of flavors. Eat to increase Attack by +10% for a period of time.
Rushoar Hot Dog	Thick sausage wedged between warm buns. The crisply seared meat and spicy flavors are to die for. Eat to increase Defense by +20% for a period of time.
Rushoar Pork	Rushoar meat. Full of the delicious flavors of wild game. Juicy and nutritious.
Salad	A Salad made by mixing Lettuce and Tomato. Eating it slightly imprroves work speed for a period of time.
Sapphire	A gemstone that glows blue. Can be sold to a merchant for a high price.
Scorching Egg	A Scorching Egg containing a Fire Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.
Silver Key	A key that can unlock locked treasure chests.

Speed Lotus (L)	Large orange flower that is extremely difficult to obtain. Needed to make Speed Elixirs.

Stamina Lotus (L)	Large yellow flower that is extremely difficult to obtain. Needed to make Stamina Elixirs.

Stewed Galeclaw	Slow-cooked dish that exudes a burst of rich, wild flavors. Eat to make SAN decrease slightly slower for a period of time.
Stone	Material for structure and items. Can be by mining rocks.
Stout Fruit	Precious fruit that is extremely difficult to obtain. Slightly increases a Pal's defense.
Strange Juice	Juice that greatly improves mood when consumed. Drinking it significantly increases work speed for a period of time, but significantly lowers SAN.
Sulfur	Sulfur that can be found in volcanoes and such. Necessary for making Gunpowder.
Suspicious Juice	Juice that improves mood when consumed. Drinking it greatly increases work speed for a period of time, but lowers SAN.
Tocotoco Feather	Feathers dropped from a Tocotoco. Used to make clothing, as the beautifully vivid colors are quite popular.
Tomato	A fresh ingredient that brightens any dish. Filled with lycopene, they're also very healthy.
Tomato Seeds	Necessary for starting a farm. Can be purchased from a merchant.
Training Crystal	Strange crystal that when given to a Pal, raises its level by one.
Training Manual (L)	Training manual that grants 10,000 EXP when used on a Pal.
Training Manual (M)	Training manual that grants 1,000 EXP when used on a Pal.
Training Manual (S)	Training manual that grants 100 EXP when used on a Pal.
Training Manual (XL)	Training manual that grants 100,000 EXP when used on a Pal.
Venom Gland	Material obtainable from poisonous Pals. Can be used to make Poison Arrow and more.
Verdant Egg	A Verdant Egg containing a Grass Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.
Wheat	An ingredient that forms the base of various dishes. Wheat is a common crop in many parts of the world.
Wheat Seeds	Seeds that produce Wheat. Necessary for starting a farm. Can be purchased from a merchant.
Wood	Material for structure and items. Can be obtained by cutting trees.
Wool	Material sheared from sheep Pals. A necessity for creating bedding, Cloth, and more.

How to Get Materials

Dropped by Pals

Enemy Pals you encounter in the overworld may possibly drop one to two materials. Once you capture an enemy your Paldeck will show you what other possible drops can come from an enemy.

Alpha Bosses and Lucky Pals Give Rare Items

Alpha Bosses and Lucky Pals drop Ancient Civilization Parts and possibly Legendary Schematics and rare accessories. These are needed to create Ancient Technology and some of the best gear in the game.

Increase Materials Gained with Some Pals

Some Pals, such as Elphidran, Orserk, and Cryolinx, have special Partner Skills that increase the amount of items you get when defeating Pals of a specific element. There's one for every element type, so it's best to catch at least one of each for farming.

You can buy most materials with Gold Coins from Wandering Merchants all around the map. Different merchants sell different items, so make sure you visit the right one for the materials you need.

Some items, like Ingots, can only be obtained through crafting. You'll need an appropriate workbench or facility to produce these from other materials.

How to Use Materials

Crafting Constructs

Aside from crafting other items, you can also use materials to create constructs and other base structures necessary to prolong your survival. These could range from shelters, bases, furnaces, camps, storage, and more.

Cooking Food

You can cook some consumables in a Campfire, Cooking Pot, or Electric Kitchen to produce more kinds of food. Cooked foods have additional effects and can also prolong the sanity of your Pals.

Consume Food to Prevent Hunger

Hunger is signified by the orange bar usually located beneath the green HP bar.

Food is used in managing your character's Hunger bar, as well as your Pals'. A fully depleted hunger bar will cause you to lose HP to a minimum of one (1). Fortunately, you will not die from hunger.

Pals, however, will risk starving, and worse, become incapacitated should their Hunger bar fully deplete.
