Training Manual (S)	Training manual that grants 100 EXP when used on a Pal.
Training Manual (XL)	Training manual that grants 100,000 EXP when used on a Pal.
Venom Gland	Material obtainable from poisonous Pals. Can be used to make Poison Arrow and more.
Verdant Egg	A Verdant Egg containing a Grass Pal. Place in an Egg Incubator to hatch it.
Vital Elixir	Extremely valuable elixir that permanently raises Health when consumed. Ineffective when used by Pals.
Vital Remedy	Extremely valuable potion that permanently raises Health by a slight amount when consumed. Ineffective when used by Pals.
Wheat	An ingredient that forms the base of various dishes. Wheat is a common crop in many parts of the world.
Wheat Seeds	Seeds that produce Wheat. Necessary for starting a farm. Can be purchased from a merchant.
Wood	Material for structure and items. Can be obtained by cutting trees.
Wool	Material sheared from sheep Pals. A necessity for creating bedding, Cloth, and more.
Xenolord (Ultra) Slab	Slab depicting Xenolord. Offer to a Summoning Altar to summon an exceptionally powerful Lv ?? Xenolord.

Dropped by Pals

Enemy Pals you encounter in the overworld may possibly drop one to two materials. Once you capture an enemy your Paldeck will show you what other possible drops can come from an enemy.

Alpha Bosses and Lucky Pals Give Rare Items

Alpha Bosses and Lucky Pals drop Ancient Civilization Parts and possibly Legendary Schematics and rare accessories. These are needed to create Ancient Technology and some of the best gear in the game.

Increase Materials Gained with Some Pals

Some Pals, such as Elphidran, Orserk, and Cryolinx, have special Partner Skills that increase the amount of items you get when defeating Pals of a specific element. There's one for every element type, so it's best to catch at least one of each for farming.

You can buy most materials with Gold Coins from Wandering Merchants all around the map. Different merchants sell different items, so make sure you visit the right one for the materials you need.

Crafting Constructs

Aside from crafting other items, you can also use materials to create constructs and other base structures necessary to prolong your survival. These could range from shelters, bases, furnaces, camps, storage, and more.

You can cook some consumables in a Campfire, Cooking Pot, or Electric Kitchen to produce more kinds of food. Cooked foods have additional effects and can also prolong the sanity of your Pals.

Consume Food to Prevent Hunger

Hunger is signified by the orange bar usually located beneath the green HP bar.

Food is used in managing your character's Hunger bar, as well as your Pals'. A fully depleted hunger bar will cause you to lose HP to a minimum of one (1). Fortunately, you will not die from hunger.

Pals, however, will risk starving, and worse, become incapacitated should their Hunger bar fully deplete.
