Work Speed determines how fast Pals can perform tasks inside your base. Read on to learn more about the Work Speed stat, how to increase your Pal's Work Speed, and more!
List of Contents
Work Speed refers to how fast Pals are able to perform a task inside your base, ranging from how fast they'll cut trees in Logging Sites, mine rocks in Stone Pits, craft items in workbenches, and the like.
The higher a Pal's Work Speed is, the faster the work they'll be able to do, which can mean higher resource yields in your base.
Your character also has their own Work Speed stat, which you can upgrade with stat points. Like Pals, this will also cause you to cut trees, mine rocks, and craft items faster when you're the one doing the tasks.
A high player Work Speed can be useful when you've only begun your save, but it will fall off later on as you will be relying more on your base Pals to gather resources for you. Other player stats, such as your carry weight, will benefit more from being upgraded.
A Pal's Work Speed influences how fast a Pal is able to perform the tasks listed above. If you assign a Pal with a high Work Speed stat for one of those tasks, they'll be able to finish tasks faster than Pals with meager stats.
All Work Suitabilities Explained
A Pal's Work Speed stat can be upgraded at a Statue of Power using Pal Souls. You're going to need a couple of Small, Medium, and Large Pal Souls for the upgrades, but you will be able to get a 30% stat increase once Work Speed is maxed out.
If you build a Monitoring Stand in your base, you will be able to dictate your base Pals to work harder or take it slow. Choosing the Hard Working or Super Hard Working option is a good way to take advantage of base Pals with high Work Speed, as you'll be able to get higher yields from them.
Do note that this structure essentially forces your base Pals to work faster, which in turn will deplete their sanity (SAN) and hunger faster than normal.
The food listed below can give your base Pals a temporary boost for their Work Speed when eaten. You can leave these meals in their Feed Boxes to not only feed them but also give them a slight boost in speed while they are working.
