How to Find Captured Pals

Look for Trails of Smoke

Go to a place where you can look at your surroundings clearly. During day time, look for an area that has smoke trails and head towards that direction to find a Small Settlement or a Captured Pal's Camp.

Mark the Map After Locating a Camp

This is optional for backtracking purposes, but you can mark the map once you locate the camp that has a Captured Pal inside.

How to Release Captured Pals

Hold the Release Button to Open the Cage

After successfully defeating enemies in the camp, release the Caged Pal by holding the Release Pal button.

The released Pal is automatically registered on the Pal Deck and gets transferred to your Pal Box if there's no more space in your Party List.

Captured Pals Respawn Over Time

After rescuing a Captured Pal, a random Pal will replace it once the Captured Pal timer respawns. Depending on your World Settings and Respawn Rate, a Captured Pal can appear inside the cage again.
