You can join a player's existing world as long as they have set up an Invite Code to their world.
Head to the title screen and choose Join Multiplayer Game (Invite Code).
Enter the Invite Code of the player you're joining. Keep in mind that crossplay is enabled as long as both players are on the same platform.
You can invite other players to your world by setting up an Invite Code from the Options menu while in-game.
Keep in mind that you'll need to generate a new invite code if you quit or restart the game.
Palworld supports multiplayer gaming in various ways, and one of them is inviting your friends over for a gaming session. Inversely, you can accept invites from your friends!
Do take note that a multiplayer session can only consist of 4 people. If you need reinforcements, do not hesitate to call for backup! The multiplayer system will be available on January 19, 2024!
Beyond simply inviting your friends, players can create their own dedicated servers that are open for other people to join into! Up to 32 players can exist in one server at a time.
Through the creation of a custom server, you can meet new people, make new friends, and build bases to start your very own Guilds! Palworld's server creation will be available upon the launch of the game.
A dedicated server usually a mode of the game where everything is perpetual and continuous, like a simulation rather than a story-driven game with an ending. This provides a stable environment where several players can co-exist in the same world.
Servers can either be public or private. Public servers are usually open for anyone to join, while private servers are restricted to those who are either invited, or have the password or code to join.
How to Set Up a Dedicated Server
Among many other things, Palworld also provides players the option to customize their characters. However, bringing this character to online sessions has some restrictions.
You can bring your single-player character along with you on 4-player online sessions with invited friends, but not on servers.
As of the moment, Palworld does not support crossplay between platforms. However, the game's developers are working on making it possible, so stay tuned for more updates!
The world of Palworld is extremely vast, and offers a wide array of places, things, and Pals for you to discover. However, in such an expansive world, you may find yourself in need of assistance.
Don't be afraid to ask your friends or even new people for help should you need aid in exploration, quests, and even bosses!
Raid Bosses are newly introduced boss battles that have high HP and are difficult to take down. You are only given 10 minutes to defeat a Raid Boss, so it is recommended to team up with other players before you summon a Raid Boss to your base.
Through the multiplayer system, you and your friends can help each other with building bases, which can be made even easier with the help of your Pals!
In online servers, you and the other 31 players can choose to build a base together like a colony, or split into groups and create your respective bases. The latter is especially fitting for when you and your fellow players wish to start your own Guilds.
Starting Guilds in online servers is a great way to keep the competitive spirit up and assert dominance! By forming your own groups, building your bases, and doing as much as possible can land your Guild the top position in the server!
As revealed in the game's official site, you can choose to either work together in multiplayer, or go up against one another. Stealing Pals and items is also possible if you're not careful in where you place your valuables.
In light of this, it would be best to find out who you can trust when playing online, as friendly fire is possible.
The Sakurajima Summer Update will add the Palworld Arena, where players can participate in arena-style PvP battles alongside three of their Pals.
Another form of PvP has been mentioned in Palworld's Early Access Roadmap, but there is currently no new information regarding that.

If you've created a multiplayer World in Palworld but are having trouble accessing it again, this may be caused by multiplayer server issues.
You may be able to enter your World again by turning off multiplayer for your World's settings. You can do this by selecting your World and then going to Change World Settings. Switch Multiplayer to Off.
If the multiplayer setting isn't showing up, check your internet connection. A weak or unstable internet connection may also be preventing you from opening your multiplayer World.
