The table above shows every Pal with a Transporting Work Suitability, along with its level. The Higher the level of the Work Suitability, the larger the item stack they can carry.
By using the Pal Essence Condenser, it's possible to upgrade all of a Pal's Work Suitabilities by one level. This is important because it's the only way to get a Pal with a Lv. 5 Work Suitability! As long as the Pal already has a Lv. 4 Work Suitability, it'll be upgraded to Lv. 5 once it's been ranked up to 4-Stars
How to Get a Level 5 Work Suitability Pal
The way the Transporting skill works is that the higher the level, the larger the stack they can carry. This means that the game only uses the Pal's movespeed, and not the Transporting level, when they're moving items from one place to another.
Transporting Lv. | Items per Stack Carried |
---|---|
1 | 2 |
2 | 5 |
3 | 10 |
4 | 20 |
If you're planning on moving stacked items, like items harvested from a Stone Pit or Food Plantations, then consider using Pals with a high Transporting Level. This is because the higher their skill level, the more items they can carry at a time.
Do note that this only works if the item is already in a stack because Pals will grab an item from a stack instead of collecting multiple items.
If you plan on using Pals to gather individual items, such as items dropped on the ground from Ranches or mining natural spawning Mining Nodes, then use Pals with a high movement speed. This is because they will only move a single item at a time, making its Transporting Level negligible.

Food: 8/10 | |
Helzephyr Lux |
Transporting Lv. 3
Electricity Lv. 3
|
Food: 8/10 |
Both Helzephyr forms are the best Pals for focused Transporting tasks since it has the fastest transporting movespeed in the game. In the long run, being able to quickly move to and from storage untis provdes a bigger benefit compared to carrying more items at once.

Depending on your bases needs, these Pals can be better than both Helzephyrs when it comes to Transporting.
For example, if your storage is right beside a Logging Site or a Coal Mine, it would be better to use the Wumpos and Knocklem respectively. This is because they don't have to walk far and they can carry larger item stacks.

Tanzee is the overall best early-game Transporting Pal since it is encountered at a very low level near the starting area and its other Work Suitabilities are also amazing additions to any early-game base.
Alternatively, you could use a Lamball or a Cattiva if you don't wish to stray too far from the starting area.

When a Pal with a different Work Suitability is doing a task that drops items on the floor, Transporting Pals will go and pick those items up and move them into a nearby storage container.
This is essential for any base because it creates a level of automation that streamlines the process of making other items inside the base.
Another benefit to Transporting Pals is that they will automatically move any food sources harvested into a Feed Box, creating a self-sustaining base where the Pals working there never go hungry and will continue to work on their given tasks.
After the 0.2.0.6 update, items crafted through workbenches and similar structures can now be transported by Pals with the Transporting Work Suitability to your storage chests in your base!
When crafting an item, you can check Allow Transport By Pals to have a base Pal move that item to a chest once the item is made.
You can use this new quality-of-life update in conjunction with the also newly-added feature of being able to designate what items can be placed inside your storage chests.
