Pal Gear Unlock: Lv. 50

Although Jetragon is the fastest mount in the game, it is a Legendary Pal that may take some time and effort to get. Its Pal gear is also only unlockable at level 50, the current maximum level.

Nitewing and Vanwyrm are some of the easiest flying mounts to get early on. They're not very fast, but they can help you travel to faraway and hard-to-reach places. Beakon, Ragnahawk, and Frostallion are great flying mount upgrades to these early game mounts while you still don't have access to Jetragon.

How to Ride Flying Mounts in Palworld

Summon Pal to Ride Them

To ride a flying mount Pal, craft the required gear for the Pal and summon them from your party and then press the Ride button to hop on.

Note that Flying Pals consume their own stamina while flying, and you can only fly quickly for a limited time before you fall and regenerate stamina. Luckily, you and your mount will take no damage as you won't crash to the ground unlike when jumping from a high place, so you or your Pal won't take any damage at all or even go down straight to deep water as you'll only hover above the surface.
