To unlock more storage options in Palworld, you will need to level up and invest Technology Points into them. Once they have been unlocked, they will need crafting materials for building.

Take note that some storage structures are primarily made only to store food (such as the Feed Box or Cooler Box). The Food Box in particular will be interacted with by base Pals who are hungry or starving.

How to Organize Base Storage

Use the Sorting Option

Palworld - Using Sort for Storage

Items of the same copy in the inventory will be combined when using the sorting option. This is a good way to efficiently make space for inventories since some items cannot stack (like Pal Eggs which you can hatch).

Stacks Go Up to 9999

Palworld - Stacks and Weight

Most items can be stacked up to 9,999, so if you have the same items in multiple storages at base, you can combine so as long as they do not exceed that cap.

Do remember that adding stats will also add their weight. If you need to transfer items out of the chest, you will want to split their stats first to prevent yourself from being overburdened.

Pals Transport Items to Storage

Palworld - Pengullet Transporting to Storage

Base Pals with the Transporting Work Suitability can automatically transport nearby items on the ground to a storage structure. This means it can transport nearby drops harvested by other working Pals like Wood and Stone.

It is important that you position your structures carefully (with some space between each other) so that they do not interfere with the pathway of the transporting Pals. This will make their work more efficient and will prevent any pathing bugs that may occur.

If a storage has an empty space, a random harvested drop may be transported there by a Pal to fill it in. If it is occupied by an item and there is Pal transporting that same type of item, that Pal can transport its load to that storage and add to the stack.
