Junkyards do not have a specific location at the map and they can spawn anywhere.

Over time, these heaps of junk do respawn as well, making it a nifty way to farm important materials such as Paldium Fragments.

The Sand Dunes is the Best Area to Farm Junkyards

Considering how vast and flat the Sand Dunes region are, farming junks here are easier since you can see almost every last one.

Junkyards are large pieces of scraps that are scattered all throughout Palpagos Island. These contain different rewards each time.

This is one of the new Quality of Life updates that comes with the Sakurajima Update. It makes looting easier, especially for beginners, to have more items earlier in the game.

A mysterious coin. Apparently there are people who collect these. Mimog has it, but for some reason, it cannot be obtained by dismantling it.

Dog Coins are a new currency in the game and can be used when trading with a Medal Merchant.

The Medal Merchant offers new useful items as well such as Accessory Slots, Elixirs, and Pal Hats.

The Loot Depends on the Region

The higher the level of the Pals in the region, the better the rewards of the Junkyard loots are.

In Sakurajima, the currently highest leveled region, you can find Legendary Spheres when you forage Junkyards.
