Use an Ore Mining Site to Mass Produce Ore

Once you've unlocked the option to build an Ore Mining Site, the need to build a dedicated base for mining Ore becomes obsolete. This means you can use the base for something else instead.

These bases are good options if you need a good amount of Ore in the early-game. However, as soon as you unlock the Ore Mining Site, the need for an Ore Base becomes obsolete. Keep this in mind before you invest resources in to the base

Best Early Game Ore Farming Bases

West of Fort Ruins: 156, -396

World Location	Map Location

To the west of the Fort Ruins fast travel point is a good early game base location for ore farming with seven ore nodes that you can mine. Its small size and high elevation also makes it easy to defend from raids.

However, the small size prevents you from adding large structures and expanding your base. You may want to use this location as a secondary base location purely for mining ore.

Behind the Desolate Church: 72, -400

World Location	Map Location

There are a lot of ore nodes for mining in the spot right behind the Desolate Church. This area is a little bit larger than the location near the Fort Ruins, but since there are also more ore nodes and trees, there still isn't a lot of space to build other structures.

This location is also right next to the Desolate Church fast travel point. If you want to use your bases as additional fast travel points for more convenient traversal, this may not be the base location for you.

Southwest of Small Settlement: 8, -528

World Location	Map Location

This location southwest of the Small Settlement fast travel point has a wide, open area perfect for building a large-scale base. It also has a lot of ore nodes, so that you can easily craft Ingots using a furnace.

It's also far enough away from other fast travel points for it to be a convenient additional point. This area is highly recommended as a main base location.

Ore Locations and How to Get

Best Ore and Sulfur Farming Base

South of the Foot of the Volcano: -341, 566

World Location	Map Location

This area located south of the Foot of the Volcano fast travel point is a good place to establish a sulfur and ore mining base. There are a few sulfur nodes in addition to ore nodes in this area.

However, take note that this is located near a volcanic area. You may need to equip heat resistant armor such as the Tropical Outfit when traveling around the area.

South of Cinnamoth Forest: -77, -310

World Location	Map Location

To the south of the Cinnamoth Forest fast travel point is an area with a lot of ore nodes. This large, flat land is another ideal space for a main base. There are also some sulfur nodes that you can find in nearby areas.

Best Ore and Coal Farming Base

Near Sealed Realm of the Guardian: 180, -39

World Location	Map Location

At one of the many peaks of the Verdant Brook, lies a location with a staggering amount of coal and ore deposits.

From the Sealed Realm of the Guardian fast travel point, ascend up the mountains to the east to reach this location.

Use Mining Focused Pals

Only Pals with at least a level 2 Mining work suitability are able to mine Ore. The more mining Pals you have, the better the chances that they will work on mining the Ore deposits.

Have a Food-farming base to supply this base and do runs delivering food between each base by fast traveling.

Tweak Your World Settings

Resources respawn after a full in-game day has passed, so set the respawn rate of resources in your World by setting the Gatherable Objects Respawn Interval metric to 0.5.

Doing this speeds up the respawn times of every resource in your World, and allows you to continouously automate Ore in your base.
