Pal Changes

Pal Changes
・Alpha and Lucky Pals now have 20% higher HP than normal-sized Pals of the same type ・Alpha Pals have a low chance of being produced from breeding eggs

In Version 0.2.4.0, Alpha and Lucky Pals in the game have received a meaty update, with their HP being boosted by 20%.

This means that all Alpha Pals will now have more health than their regular versions, which means that you should aim to get a full team of Alpha Pals if you want to have the best team possible! You can also use Pals that have the highest HP stat if you want to have the tankiest team possible.

Alpha Pals also have a chance to hatch from Eggs obtained from breeding, including those that weren't obtained from breeding two regular Pals. Previously, you can only expect hatching Alpha offsprings from Eggs that were produced by Alpha Pal parents.

Boss Damage Adjustments

Boss Damage Adjustments
・Reduced the damage reduction rate of enemy bosses by 18%

Version 0.2.4.0 also reduced the amount of damage bosses can deal by 18%. This will make boss battles a bit easier, which is useful for those having a hard time defeating raid and Alpha bosses.

Item and Pal Drop Changes

・Items and Pals dropped on death can now be picked up by anyone 24 hours after they are dropped ・Items and Pals dropped on death will now disappear 48 hours after they are dropped

Those playing in harder game difficulties will also notice changes with the dropped item and Pal mechanics, as these can now be picked up by anyone by up to 24 in-game hours, and will disappear after 48 hours if left alone.

This means that if your character dies, anyone in the same session as you can pick up your items and Pals, but only if you have the option turned on.

The Palworld update version 0.2.4.0 is available for Steam and Xbox Game Pass services. Both services feature automatic and manual downloading of game updates.

Steam Manual Download

When an update is available, Steam will usually schedule the update later. You can bypass this scheduled date by manually downloading the update from the Library Menu. Press the blue Update button to start the update download and installation.

Enable Steam Auto-Update

Enable (or turn off) Palworld's auto-update from its Properties Menu. To do so, right-click Palworld from the Library Menu and click on Properties. Enter the Updates tab and select the setting that suits your preference.

Check Updates on Xbox Game Pass

If the Update button is unavailable for the Palworld page in your library, access the Manage settings from the three-dot menu button. Enter the Files tab and select the Check for Updates button. You will be notified if an update is available and the option to start downloading and installing the update.

Enable Xbox Game Pass Auto-Update

To turn auto-updates for Palworld on or off, go to the Installation Queue menu and select the Install Options button. Select the Enable automatic updates checkbox from there to turn the auto-update feature on or off.
