Blazehowl is a decent ground mount that increases the dropped Items from defeated Grass Pals. This is great for farming items from multiple opposing Grass Pals.
Best Pals for Combat Tier List
Blazehowl is a good ground mount, but will primarily be used for its Partner Skill that increases Item drops from defeated Pals. As a ground mount, it offers better mobility compared to just running, but not as much mobility as a flying mount.

Fire Ball | The strongest attack it naturally learns that also destroys grouped-up enemies. |
Power Shot | A Neutral-type attack in case the enemies resist its Fire-type attacks. |
Ferocious | Nimble |
Swift | Runner |
Ferocious increases Blazehowl's Attack power.
Nimble improves Blazehowl's speed. This stacks with Swift and Runner, giving Blazehowl even more speed boosts, which is valuable for a rideable mount.
Do note that some of these skills may be exclusive to certain Pals, and the only way to get it on Blazehowl is to pass it down via breeding.
Blazehowl's Hellflame Lion Partner Skill increases item drops from defeated Grass Pals. This is useful for when you are up against multiple Grass Pals.
Penking and Azurobe have good defense stats and can tank Blazehowl's Fire attacks with minimal risk.
Pals like Azurobe can add Water damage to their party, making matchups harder for Blazehowl.

Blazehowl's Partner Skill is Hellflame Lion. This is useful for farming drops from Grass-type Pals, but it needs to be your active Pal.
As for its Work Suitabilities, it has Kindling Lv. 3 and Lumbering Lv. 2. If the base it's assigned to doesn't have any trees or Logging Sites, it can completely focus on Kindling tasks without you needing to manually assign it.
Artisan | Work Slave |
Serious | Lucky |
These four passives are used to give Blazehowl a +115% Work Speed boost, helping it finish tasks quickly so that it can immediately move on to the next one.
Alternatively, Blazehowl can use Hunger and Sanity passives to minimize the amount of breaks it takes. This is useful so that it doesn't get a -30% Attack drop from Work Slave.

Some skills are exclusive to certain Pals, making the only way to get it on Blazehowl is to pass it down via breeding.
Listed above are some of our recommended breeding combinations, but if you'd like to use different Pals to breed for a Blazehowl, then check out our Breeding Calculator linked below.
Ignis Rage | A Fire-Element attack that hits enemies in a massive area around Blazehowl Noct. |
---|---|
Fire Ball | The strongest attack it naturally learns that also destroys grouped-up enemies. |
Power Shot | A Neutral-type attack in case the enemies resist its Fire-type attacks. |
Do note that if you have raids turned off in the world settings, then active skills don't matter for Blazehowl's best base build.
