Best Early Game Pals

Palworld - Best Early Game Pals

When it comes to the best early game pals, Cattiva excels thanks to its usefulness in crafting and base building in Palword. Other solid picks for starter pals include Foxparks, Daedream, and Vixy. Read on to find out what the best pals to get early are for battle, crafting, and base building.

Best Early Game Pals

In the first few hours of Palworld, your choices for companion Pals may be somewhat restricted. While it is useful to catch Pals primarily for the XP they provide, there are specific early game Pals that stand out as useful additions to your party and your base.

Best Starter Pal

Cattiva is the Best Starter Pal for Crafting and Base Building

Cattiva Palworld

The very first Pal Sphere you craft should be spent on Cattiva, which is found in the area during the start of the game. While it may not excel in combat, its true value lies in its expertise in crafting and base building, which you are about to begin at this point in the game, making it the overall best first Pal to catch.

Cattiva has access to the following Work Suitabilities, all of which are highly useful for material farming and crafting right off the bat.

  • Handiwork: Allows it to build structures and craft items at Workbenches. The most important Work Suitability overall.
  • Mining: Allows it to mine Stone and Paldium Fragments (not Ore; Mining Lv. 2 is required for that)
  • Gathering: Allows it to gather crops from Berry Plantations
  • Transporting: Allows it to carry gathered materials and place them in Wooden Chests

Cattiva Also Gives a +50 in Weight

Cattiva's Passive Ability, Cat Helper, increases your weight stat, thus increasing your carry capacity by +50 for each Cattiva in your party (this stacks!), making it a great starter Pal for early on out in the field, as well as the base!

Daedream is the Best Early Game Pal for Mob Battles

Daedream Palworld

The best starter pal for battles against random mobs in Palworld is definitely Daedream. Daedream uses ranged attacks reducing the risk of taking damage.

With its Dark typing, Daedream is unstoppable as it will deal increased amount of damage with the majority of the Neutral type low-level starting pals you will encounter making EXP farming more easier and faster.

Foxparks is the Best Early Game Pal for Boss Battles

Palworld - How to Capture Foxparks

Foxparks is one of the more uncommon Pals you can encounter at the start of the game in the starting area. Its Partner Skill, Huggy Fire, makes you use Foxparks as a flamethrower, which deals massive amounts of damage within a short range. Use this skill to shred the HP out of enemy bosses. As a Fire-type, Foxparks is strong against 2 elements, unlike other elemental types.

Unlock Foxparks' Partner Skill by crafting the Foxparks' Harness, which can be unlocked after capturing a Foxparks and unlocking it in the Technology Tree.

The last best thing about Foxparks is that it heats you up during the night when it's out of its Palsphere, making cold nights without proper clothes or warmth worry-free!

The Vixy distribution picture is actually showing the one for Cremis. Vixy has a much smaller area: it's basically the left half of the centre of the three Cremis distributions.
