The table above shows every Pal with a Mining Work Suitability, along with its level. The Higher the level of the Work Suitability, the faster they are at completing tasks of that Work Suitability.
Also, some Mining Nodes require a minimum Mining work suitability, like how Ore Mining Nodes require atleast Mining Lv. 2 for a Pal to automatically mine it.
By using the Pal Essence Condenser, it's possible to upgrade all of a Pal's Work Suitabilities by one level. This is important because it's the only way to get a Pal with a Lv. 5 Work Suitability! As long as the Pal already has a Lv. 4 Work Suitability, it'll be upgraded to Lv. 5 once it's been ranked up to 4-Stars.

Astegon is the best Pal for focused Mining tasks since it has the highest possible level for Mining and only one other work suitability at a negligible level which you can turn off with a Monitoring Stand.

Knocklem is one the best multitasking Mining Pal because it also has Transporting Lv. 4, allowing it to transport whatever resources it mines.
Blazamut and Blazamut Ryu, on the other hand, are best suited for Mining Bases that needs a Kindling Pal to refine Ingots. When paired with Anubis, this can create a very efficient base for Ingot production.

It also has Handiwork and Gathering, which are always great additions to any early game base.

Mining is mainly used to mine for resources at the structures listed above. This is one of the most important things you'll need at your base since this will be your main source of Stone, Ore, Coal, Sulphur, etc.

Mining will also make a Pal mine any naturally spawning nodes inside the base. This is extremely useful if you want to set up dedicated bases that will automatically mine resources like Ore.
Do note however that Pals with Mining Lv. 1 won't automatically mine higher tier resources, so make sure to use Pals with atleast Mining Lv. 2 if you're planning on making a dedicated Mining base.

The Pickaxe and Helmet is not a structure that requires Mining, but instead is a structure that passively boosts the work speed of any task that requires Mining.
This will heavily reduce the time it takes to sow seeds, freeing up the Mining Pals to do other tasks instead.
Mining Pals will also benefit from the confirmed AI Improvements, allowing them to gather ores, stones, and other resources more efficiently, and gain an appropriate amount of EXP to level up.
