Palworld Boss Glitch: How to Catch Tower Bosses

Palworld - How to Catch Tower Bosses

The glitch that allowed you to raise your wanted level and fight a Tower Boss with PIDF Guards to catch bosses and their Pals in Palworld was patched out on February 27, 2024. Read on to learn more and to see how you could originally catch the game's tower bosses with this glitch.

Catching Tower Boss Glitch Fixed

Fixed on February 27, 2024

The glitch that allows you to catch Tower Bosses by exploiting PIDF Guards was patched out on February 27, 2024 as part of the version 0.1.5.0 update.

You can no longer catch Tower Bosses by luring PIDF Guards into the boss area due to unintended game behavior.

Palworld 0.1.5.0 Update Patch Notes (2/27)

Obtained Tower Bosses Before Glitch Are Now Nerfed

If you have successfully caught a Tower Boss before the glitch got fixed, you likely appreciated having a Pal with exceptionally high HP.

Unfortunately, this has been fixed as well as part of the version 0.2.0.6 update. Now the Tower Boss pal that you caught will only have the same HP as its regular counterpart.

How to Catch Tower Bosses

  1. Raise Wanted Level
  2. Fight Tower Boss
  3. Let PIDF Guards Damage the Boss
  4. Throw a Pal Sphere
  5. Respawn to End Battle

Raise Wanted Level

Palworld - Getting Wanted

First, you need to have a wanted level to perform the glitch. Shooting NPCs and getting caught will net you a wanted level, which you can easily do by travelling to a settlement and attacking an NPC.

For an accessible settlement, you can visit the Small Settlement in the forest region of the map at the coordinates 73, -485. This is found northwest of the Plateau of Beginnings teleport point, which is the starting area when you create a new world.

Fight Tower Boss

Palworld - Battle a Tower Boss

Once you have a wanted level, travel to a Tower and enter it to fight the boss. PIDF Guards will also spawn inside the tower, which is needed for the glitch to work.

Let PIDF Guards Damage the Tower Boss

Palworld - Damaging Tower Boss

After starting the boss fight, let the PIDF Guards shoot the tower boss your are battling. You can run around the map and have the boss be in between you and the PIDF Guards.

Throw a Pal Sphere

Palworld - Capturing Tower Boss

Once a PIDF Guard lands a shot to the boss and is able to damage it, throw any Pal Sphere towards the boss to catch it. You can determine if the tower boss is damaged by a guard if a number appears beside the boss, which indicates damage values.

The screen will display a 0% chance of capture, but if the glitch works, it is a guaranteed catch!

Catching Boss Does Not Count as Defeating It

Catching the Tower Boss will not count as defeating it, and you will be stuck inside the area after capturing it until you respawn.

This means that you cannot use this glitch to easily clear a boss, and you need to defeat it the right way in order to clear the tower.

Respawn to End Battle and Lose Wanted Level

Palworld - Respawning

After capturing the tower boss, simply open the menu and select Respawn to die and get out of the tower. Respawning will also make your wanted level disappear.

Do note that death world settings will apply upon respawning.

How to Remove Wanted

Catch More Bosses

Tower Bosses can be challenged again immediately after catching the previous one, so you'll be able to catch as many bosses as you'd like.

All you need to do is repeat the process again, starting from getting a wanted level.

How to Use Tower Boss Pals

Use in Battle

Palworld - Use Boss in Battle

Tower Boss Pals are essentially the same from wild Pals, with the exception of their boss HP being retained after capture. This means that they will be able to easily tank hits from tougher enemies and even other bosses thanks to their high HP.

Captured Tower Boss Pals are also able to use their designated Pal Gear if you have it crafted, so you'll also be able to take advantage of the Pal's Partner Skill.

Team Up with Bosses

Palworld - Team Up with Bosses

Towers Pals you capture will include the boss that are riding them and will also appear when you bring it out to the field.

You will not be able to interact with the boss and there isn't anything unique when you use the Pal with the boss riding them, but it's a nice addition to have when exploring!
