Palworld version 0.7.0. introduces PvP, where a player can now battle against other players in a public or private server. Learn how to turn on PvP, its features, and functionality.

What is PvP in Palworld?
Allows Combat Against Other Players
Introduced in version 0.7.0 patch, PvP allows players to battle with other Pal Tamers in a public or private server. Challenge yourself and show off the strength of your Pals in a brutal battle to victory.
Rewards from PvP Matches
Winners of PvP matches are rewarded with Champion's Emblems or the opponent's gear, depending on the server's set rules.

Difference to PvP Arena

The PvP Arena is accessed by traveling to the Arena Entrance and hosting a match, it can also be done anytime in any save file with Multiplayer setting ON.
Meanwhile, the PvP functionality is implemented to provide streamlined PvP combat to public and private servers. This allow players to fight each other anywhere in the server.

How to Enable PvP
Enable PvP in PalWorldSettings.ini

To enable PvP on your dedicated server, find the PalWorldSettings.ini server config file in:
- Local > Pal > Saved > Config > Windows > PalWorldSettings.ini.
Open the configuration file with any text editor program then locate the three parameters in the table above, then set it to TRUE.
Is There PvP for Non-Server Worlds?
No, there is currently no PvP option for a non-server world or save in Palworld. The new PvP feature is exclusively for private or public servers.
PvP Features and Functionality
PvP Server Rule Changes
The following are changes to the server rules when PvP is enabled:
- Players can harm each other
- Entering another player's base makes their base Pals hostile
- Increased damage to flying players and mounted Pals
- Reduced damage to summoned and base Pals
- Players can access chests owned by other guilds
- Reduced melee weapon damage against structures built by other players
- Base Pals defend over a larger area, and the allowable distance between neighboring bases is increased
- The distance at which player names and damage values appear is changed
- Players are notified when their base is under attack, and building or repairing inside the base becomes unavailable
- Some weapons have modified range and damage values
Take note that the PvP functionality is currently experimental, so balancing issues and bugs may still occur.
